Anyways does the PS3 SIXAXIS controller come with the charger and does the PS3 need a memory card or does it have internal memory? That is all I really need to know right now. The PS3 has internal memory. Also, you do indeed get the SIXAXIS controller, but no charger comes with it. BUT, the PS3 itself is the SIXAXIS controller's personal charger. Just use the USB cable that comes with it, and connect your controller to the PS3 system, and the controller charger's while playing. You can then disconnect the cable, and use the SIXAXIS wireless. Slamman Posted April 16, 2008 Share Posted April 16, 2008 I've had a used 60 GB for a number of months, that model gives you built in flash card access and I highly recommend. The cost is about the same or less! Also you needn't worry about the PS3 batt, use a long USB cable and leave it connected, it allow you to maintain a good charge for some time! IIRC, the amount of saved games will not equate to the old PS2 memory cards as we are talking a new breed of games that save data a bit differently, if that's what you are pondering. Or in other words how many 8MB cards will it take to hold the amount of memory a 40GB PS3 has? well 1 gigabyte is 1024 megabytes so a 40 gig hard drive holds 5120 times more than a 8 mb memory card, and you will never use more than 10- 20 mb for game saves, the rest will be taken up in movies, music and downloadable content/games if you chos to put these things on your hard drive. also, unlike the 360, the ps3 sixaxis comes with the play and charging cable, and if you but another six axis, the cable is just a normal mini-b to USB cable so u can buy it for extremely cheap at your local store that sells pc cables. I am so happy I ordered my copy for ps3 because my 360 just randomly shut off a few minutes ago, and this is not the first problem I have had with the piece of sh*t replacement console MS sent me after my other one died on me. Back on topic, something you can also do is connect the controllers USB cable into a computer and charge it with that, the cable that comes with it is ridiculously short, so keeping it plugged in while you play is pretty much not going to work, but you can buy a longer charger cable. I would also check out getting DualShock 3, I got mine about a month or two ago and love it, it works and feels much better than the Sixaxis piece of crap they give you with the PS3.
