Rockstar staff want to make it small so it wouldn't get in the way. 2. *Possible 2nd reason* -> They made it look futuristc/cool because they wanted a new style to match the theme of liberty city. Also, it's time for a change, instead of using the same HUD in all Gta's. ================================================= This post is for the members who do not know why.... I think the HUD stands out more than stay subtle because the weapon/map/bullets are so obvious and solid. You'd think it'd be more transparent or something.
