Something about the new Hud pictures.

Hello everybody.

I Think the hud is OK and all that but some pictures are really weird.

 

Look at them again.

link - In this one you can see that the dots of enemies don't have a black stroke as shown in the oxm mag

 

link -Weapon is in blue, wtf? and the whole hp-armor bar is blue.

 

link - This looks more reliable.

 

link - here's everything blue again.

 

link - Blue search sone? thought it was red! Blue circle-It flashes when you're wanted level increases or you'r spotted. Andsuddenly a wanted star is dark gray.

 

link - then there was this one.

 

Anyone agree?

 

I made a thread a month ago, trying to create the HUD based on different Preview info.

And on page 10 there's an updated version of v3, where i have changed the font and drew the weapon instead of pasting a AK.

 

And some people say that the search area thing changes colors based on the wanted levels and stuff, I can't remember hearing that anywhere and on every HUD picture in OXM the Hud looks the same.

Perhaps those screens could be online screens, or maybe the hud in screens will differ than those in the game, and perhaps you can customize the hud. Frankly WHO KNOWS!

That's true! Forgot that! That clears alot up. But theres still some other differences.

I remember a while back Rockstar confirmed there would be no stars and a bar on the HUD would determine how wanted you were...

Wrong, They never said the stars were gone. They just said that you could see the Search area grow as your wanted level was higher. And that the search area flashed everytime your level went up.

I think I know what that is.

 

 

 

Look at how close he is to the cops and how high his wanted level is in those pics. On the mini-map, the cop radius will naturally fill up the entire HUD since he's so close to them and since the wanted level is so high (which means a bigger radius).

 

I think the blue hits the HP/armor in the first pic because he's much closer to the cops than the second pic, but I'm not sure.

It was conformed that you can get themes for your phone from the fake internet in the game, I presume that it changes the look of the Hud slightly.

 

I would maybe suggest that the pastel pink and blue one is a vice city style theme.

 

Otherwise it all could be different styles they were trying out, beta versions and what not. But I would put money on it being themes.

Circle flashes red and blue.

Armour only appears when you have it, so i guess the health takes up full when you don't.

When you have cops on you the stars will be white, when you're in the process of losing them they will be grey...

Yeah i could, but i think what rollingstoner said is plausible. And maybe the pic was taken in-game so the angle was like that. i think it was said you can take pictures in-game, right?

Well I just dont know. To me it doesnt really matter too much. The hud could look like it was drawn with pencil and Ill still love the game as long as its good (which it wlll be)

And the game IS good. Now there was paople who was saying to me that they'd wish the hud was more like the second version I made. And I don't know. The most important thing is that the game is good, and I'm pretty sure it's awsome.

Well your radar is GPS that on your phone, so I just would presume that the whole hud is an extension of your phone. Like when you get in an expensive car you get better GPS because the car has its own, but if your in an old banger your using your phone.

 

Just thinking it would be handy if I got bad guy and police locations on my GPS on my phone, I would know when roaming gangs of neds are about.

Sorry, what I meant was, your radar is the GPS that is on your phone. (I should read what I type).

 

So when you get a new theme for your phone that HUD changes as well, would make sense seeing that your map is on your phone. When you want to see the full map you go into your phone's GPS.

The blue bar (armor) is overlapping the green bar (health) just like an over shield works in Halo 3.

 

Its the same thing for Bully; you get an over lapping health bar for kissing a girl.

 

You can see it

(top right corner, left of the radar), just ignore the actual fact that he's not kissing a girl.
