Sir Baralot
As we all know, (or should know ) the new GTA will see Niko smashing a window, entering the car and then hotwiring it in order to take control of it. However, if this is the case, surely it's going to mean that escaping from the cops will be more difficult. How long will it take him to hotwire the car? We all know how annoying San Andreas was when you got in the car, were just pulling away, when suddenly: "busted". What's your 2c on this?

DMannDD
Just speculating, but don't you think this will only be parked cars? I mean if you jerk someone out of the car, it would already be running and therefore would need no hotwire. Suppose when trying to grab a parked, could be irritating but I welcome the different feel of actually pulling a Grand Theft Auto instead of just hopping in unlocked cars. Rabia
I dont think R* made it to be annoying.. Probably just 3 or 4 seconds, quick and unrealistic though. But if it was longer it would be a tad bit annoying.
SGTDillon
i think it adds realism to the game, because who is going to leave their keys in there car in new york, definetly a plus, but if your trying to get away from the cops i would just pull someone out of a running car

vanity_sanity
Even if it took like 4 seconds, it'd be a good tradeoff because you no longer are instantly busted when pulled from a stolen vehicle/knocked over. You have the ability to run, so just because you were taking too long to hot wire the car, would not mean getting busted.
mrernie
The whole point is so you are ment to think more taticly. You shouldn't hot wire a car with 5 poilcemen on your tail, you should do it when you are round the corner, out of sight.

MIA Brenzinski
When "busted" your given the option to RUN or SUBMIT. Just out of interest what are the advantages of submitting? Or is this where the prison comes into play...? Advantages perhaps a fine or a not so expensive jail trip.
killahmatic
of course, you'll only have to hotwire cars that are not running, any car you steal from someone will already be going, you just have to try to steal it. people arent just gonna let you throw them out of their car and let you take it. taking cars is more difficlut, like real life, and thats what makes it great

emigrating
I think it'd be cool if some (higher end) cars were fitted with BlackJax (anti car-jacking) devices. So you're on the run from the cops, you carjack some poor bastard only to find the vehicle die on you after a block or two. Would add realism as well as highten the intensity. Well, that's my $0.02 anyway
GTARULES!!!
your best bet wud be running tbh coz if hotwiring takes around 2 to 3 sec to start the car it takes about that long to drag someone out of the car and get in anyway so i dont think it will make any diffrence unless a cop is like 2 foot away from you

No it isn't that hard. Check out the GTA IV gamestop commercial. It shows guys breaking into a Lambo. They break the window, quickly unlock the door and drive away. LemKo
That's a lot more better, imagine, you are out of seeing from the cops and you have a little time to steal a car, you do your job in the car you want (not a too expensive one or the alarm will ring, + be careful of the broken glasses that cops would see ) and when cops see your car going they probably won't notice that it is you as they didn't saw you go into a car.
