flyinhawaiian
I think it'd be sick to have an Oldies station, with all the best hits. I haven't seen any clues that would lead to having oldies music, but it'd be nice to have some.
DDR Midian
Depends how old we're talking. Personally I'd like an 80s station. I know we had plenty of that in VC, but so far Vice City has had the best soundtrack of all in my opinion.

Lamius
60's and 70's classic rock, please... It'll most likely be swamped with "gangsta" rap and such, though. So all the kids can listen, and feel that part of them has become "gangsta" because they are listening to "gangsta" rap. This causes them to act like "gangstas" over the internet in the vain hope that someone, somewhere, may...just may...believe these kids that are playing this game truely are "gangstas". (in most cases, are white middle class kids that got told off by their dad. This caused them to become "angry" with the world, and buy as many "gangsta" albums as they could find. Yea Dad! Look at me now "homie"!) Please god, please introduce the "mute" button in matchmaking...
flyinhawaiian
Alright, well any 70s-80s radio station would be awesome, so I went ahead and posted some songs I'd like from the oldies, but I doubt would make the cut. "Sittin' On The Dock Of The Bay" - Odis Redding - "New York New York" - Frank Sinatra - http://youtube.com/watch?v=jM52Xsvw5NQ "Come Fly With Me" - Frank Sinatra - "The Only Living Boy In New York" - Simon and Garfunkel - http://youtube.com/watch?v=-IwYQ1Vqf_4 "Superstition" - Stevie Wonder -

Uhh, SA was the most "gangsta" game in the GTA series to date and it had a great range of everything, not just hip hop. The only thing you got right was the first sentence of your post. 50's to 70's rock and blues, thanks.

I've been putting together huge lists of songs for various moods of play. This would definately shut up the white ppl who hate hip hop. EDIT: and for you ppl talking about 40's, 50's and 60's music, theres 2 things you can do. Go buy the game Mafia and if you have a 360 play the songs on your hard drive instead. benno78
i used to love the old songs in gta 3 crusing around in the car following someone (and back in those days u had to keep them at a good distance and not let them out of your sight cause they would just dissappear ) and pretending i was some fruit cake serial killer lurking in the shadows stalking my prey before mid pop there heads off .... crazy i know but those old opra tunes did that to me gave the game real atmosphere i think

Niko-Claude Vercetti
There is a station confirmed called classics, sorry no link but I read it on here and it was legit. Rockstar wont let you down, GTA SA was all about the gangstas and homies and all that BS but it still had a great rock station. I think they will cater for all tastes. Remember music is what the housers did before games! (although they do love rap)

Vice City and San Andreas Soundtracks were Sexy. I think San Andreas is my fav so far... I loved N.W.A and two live crew when I was growing up as well. But back then, it was about the vibe you know? Not about pretending you're something you're not on the internet. I used to be manager of Blockbusters when San Andreas was released. You wont believe how many kids strolled in with their "gangsta" walk, to buy their "gangsta" game, so they can learn all the lingo, and talk "gangsta" to their friends. I used to age check all of them. That used to take the gangsta out of their stride...They turn back into little kids when you tell them they cant have the game... Classic. Mister V
Apparently they've got a jazz station which is good. If they don't have anything good, I'll just take the VC radios. Or my own sixties collection.

I've seen this asserted before, probably by yourself, but I've yet to see where this is established. If nothing else, you could play your own music on the 360, and hopefully Sony will add custom soundtracks to the XMB update.
Clockwork Ninja
An oldies station would be great! don't get me wrong modern music is okay but let's be honest majority of it is just poor. Very few modern classics that had the same impact as things such as Bohemian Rhapsody or things like that.
