Berezov Posted April 15, 2008 Share Posted April 15, 2008 Now, we know that GTA IV is coming out 29th April, and a lot of us who go to work/school may be taking the day off. I asked around my college and everyone, I MEAN EVERYONE, is taking the day off. I'm just wondering about, how low do you think the attendence rates around the globe will be that day? Do you think your boss/teacher will be slightly suspicious? Well, I for one am taking the day off college, I only have 2 lessons that day anyway. What do you guys think? And frankly, I dont care Bring on 28th 23:59 I've had 2 weeks leave scheduled for this since last August when I could make my preorder. SO I've had to move my leave (vacation for civilians, or holiday for the UK) 2 times. Once because of the delay from October (moved my vacation to the 3rd of March, a hopeful guess at the time), and the second time to the 29th of April. ALL of my supervisors know why I'm taking leave. I told them straight out. One of 3 options could happen: #1 I get the game, play it every moment when I'm off duty, get no sleep, perform poorly at work, and be a potential safety hazard to myself and others (as I work with hazardous materials, that was out) #2 I get suspiciously sick (in which case the military doesn't allow sick time) #3 I take leave and everyone is happy. So everyone knows why and what I'm doing. I keep getting crap about taking leave only for "a video game" but they just don't understand, do they? Oh well their loss, my gain! At least you're being honest and not fabricating an elaborate story as to why you mysteriously changed your vacation days. I would rather not tell them it is for a video game, as I work with business professionals and many business partners that I don't think would quite understand. It should be declared a HOLIDAY!!
