Meh, sounds to me like most of the rap I hear on the radio, which in my opinion isn't good at all.

 

Oh well, at least they've got a Nas song in there. If they add The World Is Yours by Nas along with whatever song they've added by him, then I'll be in heaven since that's just about my favorite song ever because it has such a wonderful New York vibe.

It sounds alright nothing special though and most of the rappers featured are good Fabulous and Fat Joe particularly. The beat used for that track sounds a lot like Lil' Kim's - Whoa song, a sample has been used:

Also 50 Cent is not that bad and it would make more sense for him to be on the soundtrack than someone like Akon as 50 Cent is from New York plus his true debut album "Power of The Dollar" album is classic material in my opinion it isn't like some of his cheesy mainstream songs. The album never released officially though in fact Columbia Records shelved it as soon as 50 Cent got shot.

I don't think Rockstar will disappoint with the overall soundtrack. We still haven't really heard much of the Hip-Hop music in the game. This track is kind of weak when compared to other stuff DJ Green Lantern has worked on (I assume he produced this song).

 

There is Prodigy from Mobb Deep on the soundtrack with Styles P which sounds cool. There good rappers in my opinion.

Yeh that would have been cool,but there is nothing wrong with this kind of hiphop.Gotta appreciate hiphop(and all genres) from all directions to really appreciate music.Still, to each his own.
