pumpkinpiehaircuttedfreak
if this has already been posted, who cares. for me it would be Shannon Hoon from blind melon. I am an absolute melon head. He was too young and died just as his creativity was blossoming. - man did that guy have some great tunes. my second pick would be Lane Staley from alice in chains. im really interested into what u guys have to say.. also tell why. lazer3720
My first choice is without a doubt Jim Morrison just for the simple fact I would give anything to see The Doors in concert. The second choice would have to be Jimi Hendrix because the stuff he would have ended up dong for music would have been monumental.
Medaphoar
i wouldnt ressurect anyone, to tell you the truth. Most dead artist gained their critical acclaim and popularity rise after their deaths. They turned 'emselves into martyrs, and warriors. If they were to live again, they can live by the documentation of their art, which is music. Attorney General
For me, it'd be the one and only Bradley Nowell from Sublime. He and his two fellow band members transcended genres and created a sound of their own. The band was just starting to peak when he passed. It's tragic, but hey, like the saying goes...only the good die young.
Canoxa
I'm seconding Frank Zappa, Chuck Schuldiner and adding Randy Rhoads, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Duane Allman and Johnny Cash. Goddamn, I can't make these lists on sight for sh*t. Edited April 20, 2008 by Canoxa
Creed Bratton
Does rap count? If so then Tupac and Easy-E. Probably others too but these are my two favorite rapers. I would give anything to see them live on stage together

Moonshield
Kurt Cobain [Gomer Pile]Surprise surprise surprise[/Gomer Pile] I woulds too, just to kill hims again. Medaphor has a great point though. Many times when a musician dies it's in the prime of his career, professionally and creatively. To bring back somebody, or to say that somebody hadn't died, might tarnish what pristine catalog the musician made up until he or she died. I guess it depends on the person in question - whether or not they'd remain creatively stagnant and keep putting out the same decent record every few years, or try to either improve or evolve or their already well-known sound, or go for a completely different sound altogether. Both Frank Zappa and Johnny Cash are great examples of the latter. And if it were up to me, I'd resurrect either one of them. Or both, for a compilation. That'd be nice. darthYENIK
It's a hard one. To hold one person's life in your hands. You could bring back a person that you personally liked. Or someone that you think would have the greatest impact on the world. Usually both do NOT coincide, at least for me. I guess I'd go with Bonham, Hendrix, or Lennon.
