Will the PS3 version have classic controls?

Does anyone know if the PS3 will have the option for classic controls? Like it was for the PS2 games. There is no way I can drive with the triggers.

Maybe, I haven't read anything about changing controls yet. I wouldn't be surprised if they let you customize it. Oh, and trust me, after awhile, the triggers start to feel very good, they actually give you some advantages. Such as control of you speed and leaving your thumbs free.

No, I believe it will be with the triggers. It would be pretty hard to aim while driving if it was with X still.....

I really hope so. I hate the trigger acceleration. It's been the X button for how many years? it was even in that location on racing games for the NES. why change it now? it was near perfect. I really do hope you can make it similar to the older games.

Actually yea, it was confirmed by those leaked images of the subway system that it will be the trigger buttons.

You can probably change it to whatever you want but triggers will be better just for speed control

It wouldn't really bother me. Sometimes my thumb gets sore from holding down X all the time, but it would be cool if there was a option. icon14.gif

It is EXTREMELY hard to aim while accelerating using X. It will work out better once you get used to it.

I would assume so, seeing as customizable controls are in all the other games, but "Things will be different".

I hope you can goto control settings like in past GTA's and change the controls.

Or i think it would be sweet if you could change the controls like you cod on True Crime Streets of LA or Resistane Fall Of Man.

Customize Your own controls.

I dont know, i like the old ps2 setups better. i got too used to em.

I could control the speed i wanted to go on SA, using the X button, since it was pressure sensitive.

So no biggie about that.

Nah, triggers are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better, it feels more like it's a real vechicle you're driving. And shhoting on trigger- it also is great.

Xbox has been using triggers to drive forever, it's soooooo much better.

I guess they took a leaf out of the Xbox book, since it works so well.

I should also add that I also prefer driving with the D-pad as well (like in the previous games). I really hope that gets implemented as well.

Well the DualShock2 didn't have a push sensitive rear trigger, whereas it has push sensitive buttons, so it made more sense to have the accelerator and brake as buttons.

Now that the Sixaxis and DS3 have push sensitive rear buttons it doesn't matter anymore if they use the triggers or buttons, however it might be more comfortable to shoot while driving with that layout.

Like everyone has been saying it will probably work out for the best it just takes getting used to, as it did for me when I first bought Burnout Paradise which I don't play anymore for obvious reasons angry.gif EA f*ckEN DIE

The PS3 has used the triggers for speed control since the beggining. GTA IV is NOT the first one.

i'm pretty sure you can costumize it.

Either way, once you get used to the triggers they're way better

On burnout paradise, I got used to accelerating with the trigger surprisingly easy. It's the braking I have a problem with. I keep forgetting sad.gif
