There's always going faulty products associated, with mass production. Also I do think the PS3 fan is quieter. My cousin has a 360, and it's as loud as my PS2, but it's (360) never had a problem. As far as I know. It's like cars for example. Some people never have problems with a certain car, but other people do. At the end of the day aslong as YOUR console doesn't f*** up, what's the point in labeling a certain console a piece of sh*t when one maybe crap, but another maybe problem free? Goes to show you, just because your console doesn't have a red ring to show when it's broken, doesn't mean it never breaks. And I've said it before, the red ring of death is a smart idea, because it lets you know that there's a problem with your 360, which, in turn, gives you the opportunity to find a solution. With PS3, all it does is quit on you, and when it does, you're sh*t outta luck. My fanboyism is caused by all the PS3 owners' fanboyism. I dont need rumble but I am going to get a DS3 for a second controller to see how it feels. The reason why we did not have DS3 remotes was because sony was getting sued from the people who made DS controllers. Microsoft took care of it right away outside of court, while Sony fought in court (saying that their technology was licensed by Logitech). Both companies lost, but being that Microsoft paid the millions ($26 million) ahead of time in July '03, they were able to incorporate the rumble to the 360, while Sony paid the millions ($82 million) much later on in March '07. Sure, it is silly for Sony to say that rumble is last gen, but I think its more silly for Microsoft not having HDD on all their sku's...and forcing devs to work harder in compression and coding.
