ToasterKing Posted April 15, 2008 Share Posted April 15, 2008 My brother works at super target in north carolina and today when he came home he said that their first shipment of gta iv had come in. before you all call me a liar and what not, i understand you saying that but im just telling you what i heard. he said its locked away and being watched by cameras, so.. no he wont steal one and no he wont get a picture. oh and a word of advice: DO not preorder from target, my brother told me that they just order a bunch of copies and hope its the right amount, they dont track it..... My uncle also works at a Super Target and his supervisor confirmed to him that they will be expecting a shipment sometime this week or early next week. The game comes out in 14 days and i used to work at the actual target store, and they got the games in at LEAST 4 to 5 days early. that was no super target or what not though. I don't even see why you guys care or not. They're probably getting in the first shipments now while the others are going to come in over the next weeks to meet the demand. Remember this game is expected to sell like 6 million copies or something in the first few months, and while launching worldwide getting the game in the bigger stores at this point would be normal. Duh! *slaps self* I just know the last game I followed was Hitman Blood Money and Edois came out and confirmed that it had gone gold. Perhaps Rockstar doesn't make those announcements. But when i did work there in electronics they had halo and GTA VC and a couple other games there 2 weeks prior to release... so I don't think he's lying. It could be true. If i still worked there i'd grab a copy "for free" if you no what i mean. Grand theft gamo. Thats how i have more than half the games i have and 2 DS's and a psp. SuperTarget has a grocery section in addition to the general merchandise. Fresh produce, deli counter, and sometimes vision centers or portrait studios. It's entirely plausible that stores start getting shipments in now, just think about how many copies they want to distribute to have available in two weeks. I'm sure over the next 14 days there will at least be some reports of certain stores breaking street date because of uninformed employees. On a side note, realizing the disc I'm going to buy has been manufactured and is on its way makes the 29th seem a bit closer, although still very far away.
