10 reasons to stop bitching about 360 vs PS3

6. 50gb of disc space makes for LOOOOONNNGGGG loading times and a horrible install.

 

 

The PS3 has an install, longer load times, but a warmer/more realistic look, and smoother game play

 

If you do the install then it actually cuts out the LONG installs, so its not LOOOOOOOONNNGGGG Loading Times AND a Horrible install its actually LOOOOOOOONNNGGGG Installs, but significantly less loading times. Or No install and Longer loading screens.

 

 

Other than that yeah, your pretty much on the mark afaik, RROD will still remain to be a big argument for us PS3 users though, and one post like this unfortunatly won't stop the arguments, in most cases it's harmless though man, me and my friend f*ck about all the time because he has a 360 and I have a PS3, but it's just fun (Until I get my 360 at christmas and there can no longer be me taking the p*ss.)

essentially, each version balances each other out.

 

The xbox has bad pop-in and FPS issues in some areas (but it does have an install option with fixes all of the problems) <----[install unconfirmed]

The xbox has way better multiplayer, and a better online community (In my opinion)

The PS3 has a lack luster online community and most matches are silent with no chat at all, which is often bitter-sweet.

The xbox has downloadable content first.

The PS3 will have to wait.

 

So, if you own both (like me) the only desiding factor is, how much you plan to play online, which version your friends are getting, etc.

 

STOP ARGUING ABOUT WHICH IS BETTER, THEY ARE BOTH THE SAME WITH VERY SMALL DIFFERENCES.

 

and if I see one more RROD thread that just bashes the 360, I'm going to go insane.

 

BOTH SYSTEMS ARE GREAT IN THEIR OWN WAY, AND I LIKE BOTH FOR DIFFERENT REASONS.

so please, we are all here for one thing, GTA4 which will rock our collective socks, what ever system that you play it on.

P.S I am buying the 360 version because of better online and the fact that all my friends are getting it for 360....and DLC.

To you both: I've seen tons of these. They work for a bit. Then the fanboys come in and talk in their caps, and the PS3 fanboys will yell about RROD, and the 360 fanboys will yell about the DLC being so worth it.

 

But, I do agree. Maybe this will be a thread that doesn't result in a complete idiot-fight. If it is; kudos.

 

I hate console wars. They're so stupid.

nah, see, here's the thing about DLC. it's very hard to make money off of. if you throw something quick together, sure, it's doable, but making something akin to a new game in and of itself worth of addons for one game is risky. R*'s analysts have already revealed the DLC is unlikely to make a profit, as the number of downloads it would need to turn even is astronomically high. while this is POSSIBLE when the game is so close to new, as it will be when the DLC is released, it becomes stupidly unreasonable when the contract with microsoft expires in 2-3 years<<most likely>> and that trying to release the episodic content for th PS3 would end up being a loss of money as the time that is needed to port the whole thing over to the PS3. even if the contract does have an expiration date, it is very likely that the PS3 will never see the episodic content
