I'm glad Saints Row went multiplatform, i loved that game but didn't wanna go back to Xbox, silly noisy contraption.

I just recently bought a 360 elite..

I've owned a ps3 60 gb since release.. Nothing went wrong with it.

 

I bought 2 of the same games on each system and rented a couple of the same games. To my fact of playing Both games on both systems, The graphics, and gameplay were exactly the same. "Exactly"

 

Even The controls were similar!

 

nothing is different from the ps3 to the 360...

Blu-Ray has slow loading times. Why you may ask? Because Blu-Ray is new technology. It is bound to be slow at first like the CD and DVD. I've yet to experience any slow loading BluRay times, even with movies. That arguement doesn't fly

I heard HD DVD was slow loading, that's why my friend swapped to BluRay instead... as I seem to recall. The reason to stop making threads like this, Ottae or Waddy hate fanboys as much as you guys and they will lock this thread as well, only a matter of time now.

 

The real related reason? PS3 is newer and will take longer to develop, all stated before, just read before you post. I see the same arguments as before. There's nothing earth shattering to report that we can clearly comment on.

I been hearing that since 360 fanboys been saying "no games for PS3" They have to work with the system. once they get used to it, it will be easier for developers to create games

I got by with one game and a couple BluRay movies, my friend on the other hand, he has a somewhat vast library all ready! I can't compete with that but I know a few GTAs and whatever else is enough to absorb my interest.

Just looked up a site called Everything2 . com

They have an HTML page detailing the time line report on the PS3 and it's worthy of a refresher because you see the deal to make the Cell with IBM was forged in the fall of 2001, and mention of Toshiba as being behind the original Emotion Engine still being signed on to produce other chips in the PS3. You can see that even though this is hard and new technology for developers right now, if you look back to that drastic lead time, we're talking Windows XP as the new OS, Pentium 4 as the new home PC CPU! It kind of lays out why PC people get so worked up over consoles unable to upgrade, luckily online connections and firmware are reshaping what the hardware end can handle.

6. 50gb of disc space makes for LOOOOONNNGGGG loading times and a horrible install.

 

this argument makes no sense. if the games disc content is identical on both consoles...then there can only be a max of about 9gb of information on the disc whether it be dvd or blu-ray. and also...i dont have a link for backing this up...but i read somewhere that the install on the PS3 will take about 10-15min to load onto hard drive...and that actually gives you smoother gameplay not "loooooonnnngggg" loading times....the system can read faster from hard drive than it can from disc...im not sure if 360 has HDD install option...but if it does then it would be the same situation as the PS3....and anyway....there are no loading screens once the game is up and running anyway...so my question to you is...have you actually done any research regarding this game and the PS3 and 360 at all? (p.s. during the 10-15min install on PS3...it displays interesting historical information about liberty city...so its not gonna be that bad...or you can just read through manual and additional material included with the game)...also, its true that if a game comes out that utilizes most of the blu-ray capacity the install would be long and take most of ur HDD space unless u put in a huge one....but that in no way relates to GTA IV

The last time I shared an opinion on which counsole was better, I got my ass flamed by a mod. Then the topic was closed. Which was very suprising to me, considering the topic was asking for opinions.

 

I've learned to just deal with it, and won't be posting anymore counsole opinions. Though I don't see what the deal is. I enjoy a good debate. Even if it's pointless. As long as it's on topic I don't see what the problem is.
