RROD is old news 5. just like PS3s catching fire is old news 6. 50gb of disc space makes for LOOOOONNNGGGG loading times and a horrible install. 7. not having HDD on Xbox 360s make for FPS problems and pop-in (VERY LITTLE, but it's there) <----[unconfirmed] 8. Yes, 360 has episodic content, which the PS3 people will get...eventually... 9. You're giving the mods a head ache 10. GTA4 IS GOING TO ROCK, STOP SPOILING IT WITH YOUR FLAME WARS OVER WHICH VERSION IS BETTER. essentially, each version balances each other out. The xbox has bad pop-in and FPS issues in some areas (but it does have an install option with fixes all of the problems) <----[install unconfirmed] The PS3 has an install, longer load times, but a warmer/more realistic look, and smoother game play The xbox has way better multiplayer, and a better online community (In my opinion) The PS3 has a lack luster online community and most matches are silent with no chat at all, which is often bitter-sweet. The xbox has downloadable content first. The PS3 will have to wait. So, if you own both (like me) the only desiding factor is, how much you plan to play online, which version your friends are getting, etc. STOP ARGUING ABOUT WHICH IS BETTER, THEY ARE BOTH THE SAME WITH VERY SMALL DIFFERENCES. and if I see one more RROD thread that just bashes the 360, I'm going to go insane. BOTH SYSTEMS ARE GREAT IN THEIR OWN WAY, AND I LIKE BOTH FOR DIFFERENT REASONS. and I do not regret buying ether. so please, we are all here for one thing, GTA4 which will rock our collective socks, what ever system that you play it on. end rant. P.S I am buying the 360 version because of better online and the fact that all my friends are getting it for 360....and DLC. I read it from a reliable source, but if it's wrong then I'll kick myself, too many people faking stuff. The pop-in and FPS issues are minor, very minor, but worth a mention. I completely agree with you except for one little thing. number 8 is incorrect. don't misunderstand me, there will be multiplatform DLC, but the episodic content promised to the 360 has been confirmed a hundred thousand times over as exclusive. even if it's only a timing thing, R* is unlikely to make a PS3 version of this DLC as their analysts have revealed that DLC story content like the 360 stuff is unlikely to be profitable for them. Then the fanboys come in and talk in their caps, and the PS3 fanboys will yell about RROD, and the 360 fanboys will yell about the DLC being so worth it. But, I do agree. Maybe this will be a thread that doesn't result in a complete idiot-fight. If it is; kudos. I hate console wars. They're so stupid. Sony paid quite a bit of money to keep gta "exclusive" to the PS2, but the contract ends sooner or later, so PS3 people will see it in a year or so is my guess. Couldn't they get there own 10+ hours of something totally different? Microsoft cant do nothing about that and cant file a lawsuit right? jpd1408 Posted April 15, 2008 Share Posted April 15, 2008 everybody just read this http://www.gamepro.com/gamepro/domestic/ga...es/173328.shtml This year and next year the xbox 360 will be dominated by the ps3...Right now the big argument are the games that are currently on each console, but we got to look to the future...also no game so far has used up the capacity that the blue ray disk is has to offer or is capable of... except metal gear 4 which already has gone platnum with its pre sales...so my guess is to get a ps3 not just for gta but in the long run everyone is gonna regret having there 360's and their RROD because of ONE... the lack of the big names coming out for the 360 in the future...and because...once we start using ps3's to its full potential xbox will never be able to catch up...
