Scarface187
Has anyone checked this out yet? For those of you who don't know about this, Porcupine Tree recorded an in-store performance of them on October 4th, 2007 in Orlando, Florida. This wasn't a regular performance though. This was just Steven Wilson and John Wesley (the unofficial 4th member of the band who plays guitar with them on the road) with acoustic and electric guitars doing stripped down versions of Porcupine Tree classics. This is a pretty short recording (about 30 minutes), but its pretty cool. You could probably find it online (at the PT store, not any illegal sites of course....) or buy it at your local record store for pretty cheap. If you love Porcupine Tree this is definitely worth checking out, and if you're into acoustic type performances check this out too (of course theres some electric guitar in there too so its not completely acoustic). I'm not done with Porcupine Tree this month though. On April 21st the re-issue of their fantastic album (better than In Absentia I think) Lightbulb Sun comes out and I plan on reviewing it. Now they just need to tour again.

You should get on that. Their discography doesn't have a single weak release. * On the Sunday of Life (July 1991) * Up the Downstair (May 1993) * The Sky Moves Sideways (February 1995) * Signify (September 1996) * Stupid Dream (March 1999) * Lightbulb Sun (May 2000) * In Absentia (September 2002) * Deadwing (March 2005) * Fear of a Blank Planet (April 2007)
Trows
We Lost the Skyline is fantastic, they somehow made Drown with Me EVEN BETTER. And considering it was my favourite Porcupine Tree song, that's just an unhuman feat. No dough this post will get questions and and maybe even some fighting. Digital Murders
My personal favorite is The sky moves sideways. What's the track list for this? And even though Fear of... was f*cking great, it left me a bit high and dry. They really need to put out another album methinks.
Scarface187
Track listing: 1. "The Sky Moves Sideways" - 4:02 2. "Even Less" - 3:27 3. "Stars Die" - 4:33 4. "Waiting" - 3:52 5. "Normal" - 4:52 6. "Drown With Me" - 4:09 7. "Lazarus" - 4:29 8. "Trains" - 4:04 EDIT - Since this has to do with Porcupine Tree, I also want to ask who else owns or has seen the Arriving Somewhere... DVD? I love it. The setlist is great, the lights are awesome, the band is spot on and the guy at the end shouting "FREEBIRD!!!" before 'Trains' is hilarious. The setlist when I saw them kicked more ass though. Went something like: - Fear of a Blank Planet - Lightbulb Sun - My Ashes - Anesthetize - Open Car - Mellotron Scratch - Drown with Me - Sentimental - Blackest Eyes - Half Light - Sever - Way Out of Here - Sleep Together Encore: - Trains - Mother + Child Divided - Halo I was so glad they played all of the new album. The films they projected on the screen behind them were pretty cool too. Edited April 15, 2008 by Scarface187

Scarface187
Didn't 3 just open for them? How were they? Yes, 3 opened for them. They were a fantastic opening act. Very talented band. Joey Eppard's acoustic flamenco/slap guitar solo had to of been the highlight of their whole set. That was my first time hearing them as well. I'm going to be seeing them again as part of Progressive Nation though I don't see why Porcupine Tree isn't apart of that instead.
