BucMan1B
I realize that most (if not all) of the advertisements and brand names in-game will be made up (sprunk, whiz, badger) but wouldn't you like to see realtime ads in places such as star junction like a coka-cola or pepsi billboard that changes say each week? I don't really think Rockstar would need the revenue but it would sure add some cash into their pockets.

I understand there's a difference between real time ads and licensed products. I don't mind if the devs got licenses of brands of various products, but, if their making money off of me just playing the game after I've already given them my money...that's kinda...selling out Edited April 14, 2008 by Crazy Asian

DDR Midian
If it was New York city and not Liberty City, I'd be okay seeing the real advertisements from Times Square... but GTA is a fantasy world, so I prefer the fantasy ads.
oanswat
I'd be pissed off. I'm allready a little pissed about the amazon.com ads for the music downloads. I hope I don't see ads for that Zit system that much. Real ads are incredibly irritating.
SAVILLAIN
wouldn't you like to see realtime ads in places such as star junction like a coka-cola or pepsi billboard that changes say each week? No! GTFO with that EA bullsh*t

dave1927p
if there were real car names and this was NY city then yes but there isn't plus some of the names are pretty obvious what they are in real life, andthey just make fun of them. If it was Coca Cola they couldnt make fun of them. Coke wouldnt let them (plus rockstar would have to pay for a bunch of lisences)
PS3GTAPlayGirl1988
What? I love the fake ads thats half the 's I know, huh? Besides, what if Take Two just did Coca-Cola... I wouldn't be able to play the game without being bombarded with adverts for Coke... *mock puke* (No offense to Coke drinkers out there, but I prefer Pepsi...) Effy in Chains
The fake adverts are hilarious, I would hate to see real adverts in GTA:IV.
ThurmanMurman
I actually like real time advertising, it makes the world seem more believable. It'd be cool to see a coca cola truck role by. So long as they dont totally axe the parodies.
mrernie
Wouldn't that mean there would be an update every week? Anyway, fake ads are part of GTA now.
Waphlez
I'm usually against in-game advertising, but I wouldn't mind it in this case (as long as it's not like in menus and stuff). It fits the game, even if it's a fictional city, it still takes place in America and things like Coke/Pepsi wouldn't really take away from the experience. Now having Intel Core 2 Duo advertising in the middle of a f**king futuristic battleground is retarded (EA's Battlefield 2142).
fraggyy
EA already makes their games already with real ingame advertising... At after a while it's boring. Rockstar is at least Creative, yes wif a capital son!

dave1927p
Anyway, fake ads are part of GTA now. yeah they deffinatly are. I guess it started off by rockstar not wanting to fork over all the money for lisences, so they got creative and now its apart of GTA.

R* would be paid to put that annoying crap in the game not the other way around. EA does it because they like to get as much money as possible while still charging you $70 so you can play their crappy, flash in the pan, empty games. Keep real ads out of fake worlds!!!
