Am I the first to notice the obscure keyboard for the BitterSweet smart phone? What is the layout?

The layout for the letters is:

fwgrvysmob

audqthjzl

kxcepni

Don't know of any layout that uses that pattern. Any one know the significance?

I suggest we get someone really smart(not me) blush.gif to unscramble all of the letters on each row and see if we can find anything interesting/significant.

Normally I don't give a crap about this sort of stuff because chances are - it's probably nothing. Also, I feel this needs to be moved to general chat - it's not news.

Now this is the reason I am replying. The bold letters are the ones that are in the same place as the qwerty layout. If this was just some guy randomly making a fake layout, what are the chances of leaving 11 keys in the same place? I don't know, probably reading too much into this. I can't figure anything out with either the letters that remain or the ones mixed up.

And for the record, I don't actually think there is any significance to this at all.

If discussion is to continue, can we have this moved please?

CarpetDweller

Just to add to the above post. I don't know if this is a known keyboard layout for some countries/uses, but I notice the following:

If you take the standard english Qwerty layout:

QWERTYUIOP

ASDFGHJKL

ZXCVBNM

10 of the keys have simply swapped postion with another key to reach their BS location: F=Q, S=U, M=I, B=P, Z=K.

FWERTYSMOB

AUDQGHJZL

KXCVPNI

The remaining letters out of place in the final BS layout are ETGV. Where (Qwerty to BS) is E=G, T=V, G=T, V=E.

FWGRVYSMOB

AUDQTHJZL

KXCEPNI

I don't know if that helps anyone trying to decipher anything. There probably isn't anything to decipher, but someone might have fun trying. The old "Big Foot" mystery kept people amused in SA, why not try to solve this while waiting for the game to be released.

[Edit: noticed I hadn't swapped the Z&K in the examples. Fixed now]

Maybe a dig at the uselessness of keyboards on cell phones and PDAs?
