Xbox 360 version less anti-aliasing?

It's been said that the Xbox 360 version will have less anti-aliasing, which to me is a terrible thing sad.gif , meaning more screen tearing. I absolutely hate angry.gif screen tearing and only find it acceptable in very small amounts.

1. I would like to know if there will be an option to turn anti-aliasing on like in Saints Row to completely eliminate screen tearing at the cost of reducing the frame rate? It would be well worth it in my opinion, becuase a slightly lower frame rate with no screen tearing looks way better than a higher frame rate with screen tearing.

2. How much screen tearing will there be in your opinion?

Thanks for your time. smile.gif

Screen tearing and jaggies (aliasing) are two VERY different things. Screen tearing is fixed by vertical-sync, jaggies are fixed by fullscreen anti-aliasing.

Ok i have a rough idea.

1) No, because, well there could

2) I reckon a fair bit because unlike saints row, GTA IV will have alot more going on on-screen especially in Manhattan.

Wtf is with all the bs about 360 version having problems, have you ever read reviews of games that come out both on 360 and ps3. Not once have i seen the same game on ps3 get anything but crap from reviewers in terms of it looking worse or having problems. With that said this is rockstar the games will be fine for both ps3 and 360 so enough bs already.

What he said. Screen tearing is something different. Anyway, everyone who's played DMC4 knows that the PS3 can't do real AA anyway tounge.gif

You wont get screen tearing. Just the edges of things/people will be more jagged and generally look worse.

You said it, the PS3 got anything. As in they never really reviewed it but at the same time, they didn't say anything negative about it... dozingoff.gif

in my opinion, i dont think you will even notice it, the screenshots and trailers which i read were mostly on the xbox, look amazing and i dont see anything wrong with the edges or screen tearing

I've never had any screen tearing on any game in my life. From what I understand, the problem is usually that you bought a cheap TV

No it isn't - do a google search... has nothing to do with tv or monitor.

Wrong, even on the most expensive TVs screen tearing is visible.
