I like Chappelle and Pryor, but I just don't find Jamie Foxx that funny. He's a great actor, but his comedy....eh. George Lopez = FAIL I just want to see Kramer do some black jokes and then get pulled off the stage

Nobby_McDonald
If Chris Rock is in the comedy clubs I'm going to avoid them like the plague. Hopefully Peter Kay, Jimmy Carr and Ricky Gervais. I met Ricky Gervais a few years ago when I went to a recording of The 11 O'Clock Show and he is a really funny and really nice bloke.

Lurk Morrison
menstealia. I see what you did there. And I approve. I could buy Chris Rock being involved. But watch it be David Cross. WE JUST GOT CROSSROLLED!
bobbagoose
I have it on good authority that Chris Rock is in the game, as himself. I can't guarantee (?) it, but I believe my source. I've just heard this too, as is Ricky Gervais and Eddie Izzard. The acts aren't on the discs, and different shows will appear periodically. You can go with up to 15 friends and watchthe show. Don't ask me to cite my source. I can't. Just read through some posts and it seems people aren't too keen on Ricky Gervais being in the game. Just don't be too disappointed if he is, that's all I can say. Edited April 15, 2008 by bobbagoose

bobbagoose
but are we certain that there will be a comedy celebrity in the game? Yes. They will be modeled like themselves and their acts will be mo-capped. Again, I can't cite my source. Believe me or don't. You will find out in 2 weeks. There may be some on disc, but mainly, they will either be streamed live or get downloaded separately. Basically you will see adverts around the city saying which acts are playing and when. NedStark
@ Ricky Gervais talk: US The Office > UK The Office Ricky Gervais + Extras is the funniest comedy you will see on cable television. Lewis C.K. , Daniel Tosh, Demetri Martin, Bill Hicks, Dangerfield, Pryor. Yes, Dane Cook too. Hate him all you want, 3 of the comedians I listed do, but he manages to tell his jokes better than the people he stole them from. Jamie Foxx did an amazing stand-up, I can't remember the name because it was years ago, but one of the taglines was Africaaaaaaaaa. Chris Rock is a better actor than comedian. Eddie Murphy also did a great theatrically released stand-up routine. Dave Chapelle is a genious but most people recognize him from his skits and not his stand-up, which is even better. browse
George Carlin! He'd fit with GTA's considered offensive nature.
Nobby_McDonald
The Office (UK) > Extras Not seen The Office (US) based on two things... 1. The trailers made it look crap compared to the original. 2. American comedy tends to be rubbish.
