RONIN1191
I think I understand what's going on here and the OP might've gotten his wires crossed, so to speak. If I'm correct, if you hear a song you like, you can hit the number in-game and get a text, in-game giving you the title and artist of the song and the site it can be had on? Which you can then purchase for you to use however, wherever you like - be it iPod, PC or what have you. What you may not be able to do is put your own tracks into the game. But you can do it off the 360 dashboard if need be. Is that right? Its not much different from previous iterations- like someone else said, each GTA has had its own soundtrack published along with the game; I just bought the VC soundtrack so I can't wait to get it onto my hdd's and in the car. By them doing it this way, they actually save money- not having to press cd's or print up covers and get the jewel cases together- and you can pick and choose what you like instead of being stuck with the entire playlist of a given station; not that that's ever been a problem with GTA as far as I know...except maybe with that Espantoso station. fraggyy
Can you not f*cking read?Jesus christ. YOU CAN'T TAKE MUSIC YOU ALREADY OWN AND PUT IT INTO THE GAME WITHOUT PAYiING FOR IT !WHICH IS SOMETHING YOU CAN DO IN OTHER GAMES. Jesus christ. You're stupid. why say jesus christ? He's not gonna help you nor me, he doesn't even exist, so i don't know what your on about. Just messing with you But in all seriousness: Rockstar could have put in a Custom Soundtrack Option for those PS3 lads. Just my opinion. Not that I complain, while i'll be playing it on 360 (Dashboard...).
ryuclan
If I hear a song I like I'll just write the name down and download it. @Lamius: I have respect for artists, but I also know that money can be better spent on other sh*t....like gas, or bills. More to the point, with a soundtrack this lovingly prepared and incredibly varied.. who the hell would want to? Jesus, get out of your genre-obsessed little boxes and take in some of the music that the game developers themselves feel best represents the game. GTRick
wtf are you complaining about exactly? Being charged for music without knowing/Be abling to do it for free when i can in other games. Um, how exactly are you being charged without knowing? It just says, you have the ability to purchase them, not that you will be purchasing them. spook-
If the song is on the game disc, you can get it off of the game disc. no you can't. 1. songs will be in some random formats 2. if you put it the cd in ur comp, you won't see all the files of all the songs that are on it. its different than comps. + r* wouldn't let you easily just grab the songs from the cds. dave1927p
first of all no one pays $2 or even $1 for songs ......no one pays for songs. LOL you seem logical and even thoughtful of this, so I am going to do you a favor and clear up what he was trying to say. what he's trying to say is that he's convinced that you can load your own music from CDs and computers into the game for two bucks a pop. which is not possible. the zit tech is used to DOWNLOAD MUSIC FROM THE GAME. not the other way around. Uglulyx
Well...if there's ever a PC version, you'll definitely be able to do it there, but for now...I have an iPod. The PC version you'd be able to take the music of the game disk. EDIT: I know this will probably start a huge arguement but............ downloading music has been proved LEGAL by several groups because copyright essentally is openly intending to strip you of your rights weather you actually have them or not.
