ChrisAndy
I just found my old Xbox editions of III and Vice City, and will probably start playing them this week in order to prepare myself for IV. Anyone else planning on doing the same? What's your fav of the three?

VEE-33N
I managed to get my hands on my old PS2, cranked up SA over the weekend. Hadnt played it for a while, geez it feels old. all these new screens and trailers make it look so ancient. still a heap of fun tho

ObsessedWithGTA4
Been playing SA Multi, and played SA on ps3 but the graphics just suck so I kinda stopped there. I can wait, I am rusty at GTA console anyway so I will just start over on 4.

I can wait, I am rusty at GTA console anyway so I will just start over on 4. I actually think playing PS2 games on the PS3 just makes them look worse. The ratio is funky and the games just seem even more dated... I tried popping in Vice City and was just amazed at how crappy the facial models and the long distance textures looked. Niko Bellic
I am playing Vice City again at the moment, gotta love the soundtrack. Ah yes indeed the soundtrack is just pure brilliance. Interesting question, dodington. Personally I'm done with the past GTAs however I've made note to myself that if I ever start to doubt the quality of GTA4 I will play GTA3 as to appreciate GTA4 more. fishermanGTA
I am going to try to finish all of them before IV comes out. Between poker and sleep, I am not sure that is going to happen. But they are still great story's, and the gameplay differs from IV to make them still interesting. I will probably go back and play them, yeah. I still play older RPG's, why not the old GTA's? VC is my favorite for sure.

How much you pick that up for btw? Picked it up for $7.99 at Hastings, I'd tried downloading them for free off the Rockstar Classics server, but my internet connection drops frequently, so it never finished. Absolutely worth the $8! Magic_Al
I might give each game one more play-through, not to 100% but just to unlock the maps, since I can't move my saves from the Xbox to the Xbox 360. All the Xbox GTAs do nice widescreen HD upscaling on the 360, and replaying them on a bigger screen than I had before will be nice. Vice City has a bright, 80s vibe that's a total opposite from GTA4, and San Andreas has the biggest map area, most-varied terrain, planes, and bicycles. GTA3 has less unique to offer, and I like its radio the least, but I'd like to have the map unlocked so I can compare any references GTA4 might make to it. Sniper Pilot
Ive beat them all, i wouldn't want to go back to the lower detail they seem to have compared to IV... Like why use your OLD PC to play crysis when you have a brand new alienware PC in your room? (Bad example, I know... but you "hopefully" get the point...) Silvertone
I'm not going to replay all of them before IV, but I am taking my time strolling through III right now. It isn't my favorite, and it obviously isn't the most feature-rich of the previous trilogy, but I want to spend time in the Liberty City environment in the days before Niko arrives in America. I know III's Liberty is drastically different from IV's, but it's just putting me in the right state of mind. I'm also interested in comparing the leap from III to IV. When (if) the next part of this generation of GTA comes out, I'll compare it to Vice City. In my mind, that's really the right way to do it. Algonquin Assassin
I started a new save for SA last week, and started a new save for VC last night. Not really to brush up my skills, but just enjoying the good times, before the juggernaut that is GTA IV is in my hands.
