Do you think this will diminish incredibly on the gameplay? how so? I think the camera has always been a trouble with GTA, you really can't move it fast in any GTA, R* should've fixed that by now, but i'm not too worried, i was pretty satisfied by it in the previous games. The lock-on on multiplayer presented an issue mostly because of open range fights, in cover battles it shouldn't be an issue, the player who can shoot better and pop out at the right time will definitely stand out in a match i believe. So, do you think this will impede IV from getting (as i wish it happens) the precious 9.5 from GameSpot? i trust them a lot, if they put a game 6, it's because it's a lot of fun! ChrisAndy Posted April 14, 2008 Share Posted April 14, 2008 The lock on being an issue in single player, multi player, or both? The aiming system is of course going to pose a problem, regardless. I heard that the cover system can sometimes be crappy too because the player "sticks" to cover, and it can frustrating to move out. I think just the idea of trying to blend an open world game with a shooter is bound to have problems. I think they will mar the game, but not terribly so... the fun factor and the storyline will more than make for it (they always have). I'm more worried about the AI than anything, and the aiming might pose a problem too. I'm trying to be a realist so that these things don't end up hurting the gameplay too badly, but... I live near water, and the sun reflects off the water pretty f*cking realisticly from what I've seem. The graphics of GTA IV amaze me like no other game has since the Dreamcast - early PS2 era. Well, Mafia II looks similar to GTA IV, both games look pretty damn real to me. But then, I'm not a grapics whore, I still enjoy FF VII/Final Bout era graphics... One thing i've always noticed is that graphics shown on PC with poor resolution and not in motion is indeed a bad way to judge graphics, i think IV looks very good on some pictures but no so good on others.
