The days are calculated by adding 1 day to account for hours that don't quite make up a day, if that makes sense to anyone. After the release of the game I will be working on signatures that display your latest GTAIV achievements as well as signatures that display detail on your last achievement (Xbox 360 only, of course). An actual countdown as to my knowledge would require flash (as generating a gif with however many frames remaining is implausible). As far as I know, these forums don't allow flash signatures.
