TheJkWhoSaysNi
what type of graphics card were you trying to put in? AGP? PCI? (I don't think that athlon xp would ever be able to be combined with PCI-E) and what cards were they? Is the 9200 on the motherboard? You'd be best disabling onboard graphics and just using the new card.
Rocketkiller
Did you reinstall the drivers between switches? That could be causing it.

I think he needs a PCI express supported motherboard. @freak2121 change your motherboard , pal

He has an AGP card and an AGP mobo, why the hell would he need PCI-E? And there's no such thing as a PCI-E Socket A mobo either.
freak2121
It's a PCI radeon, I tried both AGP and PCI/PCI-E Before it was Savage S3 Graphics, it's been 3 years since the PC got a change of cards. And I can't get a new pc because of debt/not much money
Picolini
How can you try an AGP and a PCI/PCI-E card? As far as I know, mobo's don't come with both AGP and a PCI type slot. Are you saying you've kept buying cards over and over because you couldn't get them to be recognized?? If so, you deserve to be broke because of such stupidity. Seriously, someone give this guy a medal. @Picolini, Uh, motherboards did come with AGP and PCI slots, but now since AGP is phased out, motherboards have PCI-E and PCI slots instead. @Freak, Since you said you don't have a 9200 Pro in the PC now, what does your PC have? It probably reads as a 9200 if you don't have it in the PC because you probably didn't uninstall the drivers before removing the card from the system and, like Rocketkiller said, didn't install the drivers for the video card you have now. So try installing the drivers for the video card you have in the PC. If installing the drivers doesn't work, your motherboard's PCI slots are probably screwed up. Try installing the card on a different PCI slot.
