But, I do think they should add RiCk ROll to the soundtrack. Lol His real name is Rick Astley, and that would be funny. After a song by him is played the DJ says, "You've been Rick Roll'd b**ch!" lol. I hate Soulja Boy too. His songs are the worst rap songs I've ever heard. Its R*. They might call it Dick Roll or something. You get it in your ingame email then its a video with a dick. In all seriousness though, I don't think too much of the song or any of his others, but I think some are pretty catchy (before I get flamed: they're can be such thing as a sh*t, but catchy, song). I also think a lot of the hate is over-the-top and unnecessary. I mean, yeah, fair enough, myself and a whole lot of other people don't like the song and Soulja Boy himself, but how is it really different to any other catchy, lame, one-hit-wonder? Mabes we should hate on the Baha Men ("Who Let the Dogs Out?") or Los Del Rios ("Macarena") as well. I also think because the current state that hip-hop is in at the moment, makes the reaction to this song worse than it should be. A lot of people say things like "this isn't hip-hop," "is this what hip-hop has become?" or as someone said earlier "its ni**er music" . I think people need to understand today that hip-hop has been around for several decades now and has, by now, got its own sub-genres; much like rock music - alternative, metal, etc, etc. I just see Soulja Boy's music as part of that southern dance type of hip-hop that has recently emerged (to mainstream audiences at least)... and that's what it really is... "Crank Dat" is about doing some stupid dance, and the lyrics are clearly not the focus of the song - its the beat and the dance moves. I think Soulja Boy realises that he isn't the most lyrical rapper (if he doesn't, I feel very sorry for him), and hence just makes music for people to dance to. All in all, I think people are just overreacting to this whole "Soulja Boy" thing, and need to chill the f*ck out. Plus the dance looks like a mix of MTV vids re-done by a mentally challenged person. If it's in there, just skip the song. Not that hard to press a button is it?
