I personally think Mafia 2 is better graphically but overall, the gameplay and story of GTA 4 will destroy it (GTA had to let go of some graphics to run the game smoothly) I found some new pictures of GTA 4 in this that I havn't seen, maybe you have so please don't rip on me. reply back on what you thought about it... Although Mafia's story and atmosphere beat GTA 3 easily, I think overall I will prefer Mafia due to the time it is set in. story of GTA 4 will destroy it Doubt it, the original Mafia's story was far better than GTAs. I mean yes....it's no contest....the gfx in mafia 2 are better than gta IV...but we know little else about it..... I mean the original mafia (PC version) was a great game. I was an open world that did not attempt to rip off or copy gta. Instead it carved out it's own style of gameplay. and story of GTA 4 will destroy it I'm not so sure about that....mafia had a storyline that was superior to all the gta games thus far. ....but I donno.....at the end of the day gta was more fun than mafia (even though mafia was a great game)..... so I am waiting to hear more about mafia 2 before I make any comparisons. I'm sure the game will have excellent graphics, and it also also been previewed that the graphics in single player makes you actually feel its real. ost new screenshots don't have any filter because the graphics are reduced. The more cinematic ones are most likely how the graphics will be. Imagine the graphics a little bit higher with filters. It will give the perfect effect. If you watch GTA IV first trailer it´s promo too, you can see lot more visual in it than pics released in past few weeks. But i believe that both games have good graphics. Sry bad english. The reason the graphics and stuff were better in Mafia is because R* was just figuring stuff out and seeing what they can do with GTA III. They were testing and learning. thats why the graphics werent the greatest but i think they still were pretty good at the time and for them not having any experience with 3ds Max or 3d modeling. But i am impressed with Mafia 2, and i think i'll get it. I never beat the first one because it was too damn hard on the PS2. But it had a great story, great characters, a great feel to the early 1930's and great music. I'm very impressed with the city graphics and scope on Mafia 2, but don't forget that lots of graphics used in first screenshots never make it to the real game. So i think i'll get both now.
