I did it with COD4, I didn't have a powerful PC when it got released, a month later I played it, and it actually was better, because I knew where the intels were and stuff like that. of course I didn't cry at the end like I did when I watched the ending on youtube. but I think nothing does change when you watch it, not play it, because you still get surprised. Actually, most people who eventually play the game won't be getting it on day one, so you're in the majority. You will play it eventually, so I would say, as hard as it will be, don't watch any/many gameplay vids - experience the game with fresh eyes when you do get it. It will be so much more fun. And if anyone gives you grief for not being one of those who plays it on day one, think about it - you're getting grief from someone who posts on a video game forum about not getting said game the minute it comes out, so...ahem...you know. GTA IV is far from crysis, so don't worry. if you're able playing new games right now (like assassins creed) you should be able to run GTA IV. Which ultimately is a more interesting way of wasting your life away than watching TV.
