zigs Posted April 13, 2008 Share Posted April 13, 2008 It was recently announced that an R18+ rating for video games was in the works, though South Australian Attorney-General Michael Atkinson has stated he will fight against this plan. Atkinson is solely responsible for maintaining Austalia's status of being the only developed democracy without an adults only rating for video games, despite overwhelming demand for such a rating. This might swing well with older and more naive constituents, but I can assure you that if kids want a fix of violence, nudity or profanity, they simply need to turn on their televisions. His fate is that he has been subject to being the face of contempt and ignorance and therefore the recipient of many ill thoughts in the minds of the gaming community (which is much more vast than you seem to imagine) You are already beginning the transition into "Aussie Jack" in the bustling GTAForums, where there are thousands of Australian members.
