While SEGA has yet to make an official announcement regarding the game, screenshots and a gameplay trailer surfaced over the weekend and it looks brilliant. If it really plays like classic Sonic games of old like it shows, this could be the Sonic game that brings our favorite hedgehog back from the brink of death.According to some of the rumors, the game is in development for the PS3 and Xbox 360 with no mention of the Wii. I find that slightly hard to believe considering some of the love that SEGA’s past rival Nintendo has shown them recently - but we shall see I suppose. Bloody Sega are at it again except it looks like they've got the camera view right this time. Lets just hope they don't throw in all those new characters again. I know there's been a sh*t load of Sega titles this year . If this game doesn't have all those stupid characters in it and it's just Sonic and Dr Robotnik in the game (and maybe Tails) then it should be pretty good. It looks good and they using a new engine to run this game so it looks promising. Also does anybody know why Dr Robotnik has now been called Eggman for so long in the cartoons and the new games. Just running from point A to point B collecting rings, jumping over gaps and bouncing off enemies. Sonic Adventure 1 ad 2 were the last good Sonic games and the only good 3D Sonic games. Heres why he's called f*cking Eggman, not awesome Robotnik, i don't care if anyone else has posted this: In the Sonic Comics, Sonic and Tails go to the forbidden zone, or whatever it's called, and Sonic tells Tails about his past, Sonic used to (allegedly, this is only from the comics) be Brown, still really fast but couldn't run at the speed of sound. Sonic goes to a friendly scientist, named DR. Kintobor (really) and he is told that he can be made even faster because of sme newly developed shoes, Sonic uses them, runs really fast and breaks the sound barrier. Then he becomes blue, he stays with dr. Kintobor for a while because accordng to Sonic he is a 'pretty cool guy'. Anywho, one day Sonic asks if theres anything in the fridge, Kintobor pulls out an egg, It's 6 months old, then he trips over an elctrical wire, and electricutes himself along with the egg, becoming dr.Robotnik, the fat evil bastard, thats why later on he's known as Eggman, and why Sonics blue. The old Sonic voice was fine, the sonic x one is balls, and if SEGA could just stick to the classic formula they would have more great Sonic games.
