Nah that won't be cut look at San Andreas for example, it is (if it's censored) all about cutting back on anything graphical (blood violence) and cutting back on if not all nudity. They probely woulden't take it out compleatly, they would just make it so there is less blood, for example, in an uncut version of the game, you kill someone with a meat cleaver then blood goes pouring all over the place were as in the censored version you kill someone with a meat cleaver blood still comes from the dead body but it doesen't pour out all over the place, sort of like in the previous GTA's. Algonquin Assassin Posted April 13, 2008 Share Posted April 13, 2008 Prostitutes definitely, maybe some violence, but I don't think swearing will be cut down, since SA has the most swearing of any GTA to date, and it was still allowed. Besides I don't think the characters in GTA IV will say the F, S, C, and B words every couple of sentences. It'll probably be like Vice City's swearing, with a bit more. nikopol Posted April 13, 2008 Share Posted April 13, 2008 (edited) seeing how theres no gore eg decapataion's or arms being sliced off there shouldn't be any cuts for violence gears of war came out here without being edited but prostitutes for sure i don't see any swearing being cut out thay let kane and lynch go with out cutting swearing out that game either. but i have no clue about strip clubs could go either way OHH and drinking should not be cut because thay let saints rows drinking and pot smoking go by the only reason prostitutes will be cut is beacuase its a power up theres no down side to it with the drinking and getting drunk theres a down side to it its hard to walk and drive and against the law (i hope the cops chase you if thay know your drunk) and the violence should stay intact because theres a downside to it you get chased by the cops and killed or arrested if you did not die or get arrested this game would be banned for sure im buying mine here in aus first then i will get it from overseas if to much is missing Edited April 13, 2008 by nikopol Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Most games come unedited - it's on the rare occasion that a game doesn't get classification, and Rockstar didn't want to take the chance. So they cut whatever was needed in the other versions out of the Australian ones. Annoying ain't it for us Aussies? Like in all other GTAs, prostitutes are most likely cut, and any body dismantlement will be cut. Now. see i dont get the government if the game says 18 overs only then its for 18 overs only, why the hell are they editing it, kids under that age shouldnt be getting it so the people who are over 18 have to suffer, they shouldnt ban or edit any games because the rating says 18 that is who its for and if kids under that age get it its there problem and they should let youse lot play the proper gta game! I'm not really concerned that GTA IV has been edited, but we really do need a R18+ rating. I'm 22, and I can't even walk into my local game shop and buy a full, uncut, adult game because our government is made up of tight asses? It makes you wonder why San Andreas was even allowed passed our strict classifictions, without being touched. It's wrong for people who are over 18, because it's essentially an R18+ game. That was the very first version, before Hot Coffee was discovered. If you bought SA between October 2004, and Early 2005 it should be the uncut version.
