Civuck
I hope I'm wrong with this but I predict some serious glitch cheating in the GTA IV multiplayer modes. Anyone else concerned about this? With the incredible amount of stuff happening, the amazing freedom and the enormity of the environment, I think we're going to see people find all sorts of wall glitches to shoot from and various object glitches. This was a serious problem for the Battlefield games. I also predict a steady stream of bug fix updates - at least initially. GTA IV could be a cheaters paradise. C. infiniteammo
I also predict a steady stream of bug fix updates - at least initially. GTA IV could be a cheaters paradise. With the amount of testing being done, I doubt there will be glaringly bad instances of exploits being used, but I'm sure with the sheer staggeringly insane number of people that will be playing it, that there will be some problems that will be found, exploited, promptly reported, then fixed in a somewhat timely manner. I'm not too worried about it because the people I tend to play with online are good people, and it's more about the people you play with than anything else. Ryder 556
Wall shooting wont happen for to reasons, both sides are solid so you cant shoot through either, except for thin walls, and on the other side of a wall is a great fall into the treacherous BLUEHELL. If you dont know what that is it is the underworld of the games, they have nothing but a fall back down to the game world. The only place i can see people cheating on are, well nothing. I have yet to see a building you can shoot through in a mutiplayer gta game, let it be sa:mp or MTA:DM(BTW when is the next MTA:DM update?) i have not seen a wall that you can go in side and shoot through. Lampir
It's going to suck for sure, just dont play death match then they wont camp in walls and if they do, they'll lose.... I'll probably enjoy finding some in free-roam with a few mates though, but I wouldnt use them in game...
ArcticMoon
shouldn't be to bad on live if at all they pretty good at banning people who do
SerenUnderdog
it won't happen, cheating attempts on XboxLive result in an instant ban without refund. Maybe on the PC, but def not on consoles ( i think PSN is as strict about it)
Trund
That's the thing I love about consoles. MS and Sony can ban the Console via the Console ID. Cheaters are going to have a hard time, hopefully.
¤FireStyle¤
I don't think it will be too much of an issue.......it seems to me that R* have done quite a bit of m.player testing and the build sounds pretty solid at this point !!!!! But on a side note...If there are glitches it will be interesting to see how fast people become accustomed to them and how fast they learn to work around them. I mean the original CS for PC had some glitches but people learned to live with it and work with it.....it will be interesting to see !!!
Civuck
The thing is, it could take some time before the cheats (glitch, wall cheats, etc) become known. I suspect there will be some guys hiding in walls for a while before anyone is even aware they are doing it. A huge open detailed world is great - but it sure opens up the possibility of tons of bugs.
GTAFan1990
Course there will, every game has glitches, and GTA well, its gonna have alot, due to the amount of open space. Glitch squads will swarm the city in the matter of months, posting videos on youtube etc.

¤FireStyle¤
well R* knows how big the gta franchise is.....so I am sure that they would have done extensive (or at least plenty) beta testing on their servers to check load capacity and reduce congestion. But this is not to say that it still won't crash. I mean Halo3. CoD4 and RSV 2 have all had their servers crash at some point in time......so it is quite possible that server crash may occur. Especially with the massive influx of users loggin on come 29th. I mean yea I know lots of people will be single playin.....but I am sure that there are a bunch of gta gamers out there that are gonna rip the plastic of the game, pop it in and log on m.player first thing. Zemoth
there will be glitches, but im just gona be playin free roam with my mates. the only multiplayer modes that intrest me are cops n crooks, free roam, hangmans noose and team mafiya
SikWitIt
sure there will probably be some glitchers, but remeber when it comes to Deathmatch and Team Death Match, they still have to run out into the open to get the dropped cash if they want to win And in Cops n' Crooks, it wont do them much good sitting inside a wall for the whole game, they wont even see any action
Civuck
I'll be honest and say I am looking forward to multi-player more than single player at this point. And yah, I suspect me and my friends will be doing the free-roam thing at first for a while to get our feet wet.

Sometimes you get a little bitch that just goes around trolling, and sh*t. They get their rocks off being f*cktards. Laggers will probably be the biggest or most common threat. The 360 doesn't use Servers, it uses P2P hosting, meaning one person is the host for the game, and usually, or hopefully thats the person with the best Up/Down Kbps ratio. Civuck
Laggers will probably be the biggest or most common threat. Yah - this is another good point. I suspect that GTA IV uses huge bandwidth numbers to support 16 players running around in a single, highly detailed and huge city at such a frantic pace. That's a lot of object and environment variables to constantly track.
Machine_Of-Hate
Nextgenboards will be the main culprit.
