Hit in GTA 2

I saw the wierdest thing on GTA 2, I just started the game on the second level, as soon as I start, out of nowhere I see a Zaibatsu member shoot his Uzi at a Pickup truck speeding toward our direction, the Pickup runs right through him with a splat. You had to see how fast the truck was going, it all happened so quick. The truck sped so fast it ran into the railway and the Redneck ends up getting electrocuted. I know the leaders go after you at the conclusion of the level, but I just turned the game on and I wasn't on any missions. What happened?

It's supposed to do that... kind of... you're supposed to get a scientist there too and they're all supposed to kill each other, but that only happens if you don't move untill they've finished.

It's a fun way of giving you some guns and a choice of cars to start off with.

I always see a Redneck with a shotgun killing a Scientist with a pistol, then either a Zaibatsu with a machine gun killing the Redneck or a Z-Type runnig over him, but I have never seen a Pickup at that moment.

Thats right, I did see a dead Scientist. Now I get it, thnx.

I always see a Redneck with a shotgun killing a Scientist with a pistol, then either a Zaibatsu with a machine gun killing the Redneck or a Z-Type runnig over him, but I have never seen a Pickup at that moment.

It's very buggy, even something as simple as you, or even a passer by, moving forwards a step can change what happens. I've only seen it play out properly once but I can tell you that when it does work right it seems, well, right

[The Horror Is Alive]

Every time I started a game in the second level (after restarting completely, or saving and restarting), an Arachnid rocks up and kills a Scientist. I think a Redneck gets out and subsequently gets killed by a Zaibatsu with a Suzi.

 

The very strange thing is that the Arachnid seemed to have 'freight train' mode on (if you've played Driver with cheats you'll know this), where you can smash through any cars and they'll get pushed out of the way without any effort. VERY cool, but the car got damaged easily.

Yeah, the Arachnid you get at the start has an insane amount of grip, it can push anything out of the way, even bank vans, but it does take damage as normal.

Is that in the original mission of Redneck, yellow phone?

 

Dunno, maybe this is a glitch that cause this chaos or something?

It's not a glitch, it always happens when you start a new game in the Residential District or you load a savegame. I guess it's a way to give you some starting weapons.

Totally took it wrong

 

It's suppose to do that in beginning of level 2. With my the redneck usually shoots a SRS scientist and a Z-car drives over the redneck and kills him.
