Southside Dukes Ballas
I really think GTA SA would've been the best game ever if it kept things in the beta. I mean being able to build your own casinos and buying and selling property. I mean when you 1st got to San Fierro and Kendel was talking about buying property and making it nice then selling it I thought you were going to be able to do that but no. I mean the only property you could buy was houses mainly and that was no fun. It didn't feel like CJ was building an Empire which in alot of the original previews it said it would. I mean at 1 point they said CJ would be able to control his own empire but that never happened. Also why did they decide to just stick the turf to Los Santos when originally it was going to be the whole state? GTA SA is one of my favorite games but if most of the things from the beta versions stayed in the game it would've been the best ever.
Drippin'187
a lot of the stuff was taken out because they had to be able to fit it all onto one disk. i wish some of the things ingame would have been taken out and they left some beta features in, but oh well. one thing i wouldve liked though was an alcatraz prison, on the beta map theres a little island above san fierro that people believed to be a prison, would've been nice to see that. personally i think rockstar should make a beta update on their website for pc users and on xbox live for xbox users, people who have the ps2 version wouldnt be able to get these features unfortunately, but it would be nice to see a update like that some day, though it wont happen
mr_bungle
Some of the beta stuff looked cool. Check out this video I found: NOTE: This video may contain spoilers and it is not my video so I take no credit for it.
QwertyAAA
Some of the beta stuff looked cool. Check out this video I found: NOTE: This video may contain spoilers and it is not my video so I take no credit for it. Also, its creator admitted that some of those things are, not to put a too fine point on it, untrue. The casino thing? Might be just some reviewer's imagination. Guys, it (Beta stuff) was all taken out because it was too complicated/made the game too easy/was pointless/had no place/destroyed the reality RS created. Also, btw, it really is bad that the whole state is accessible only with the plane glitch.
TheDude5000
Actually, it had to do with time constraints. The game was already delayed a week. They had to cut some things to get it out there in time. Probably not enough time to complete and test something as complex as say...building a casino, or give LC a bigger role (which they were, game files show that CJ originally lands in Shoreside). And then the dozens of smaller things like car washes (which R* confirmed themselves, even gave out a screenshot of it), certain incomplete vehicles, and other features. They either removed these things or left them in an unfinished form. It's always cool to imagine what could have been.
Hodgey.
I think SA was fine without some of the beta stuff, would it of made much difference if they kept all of that stuff in. I dont think so as it was a well rounded game. IMO.

But about casinos... You may or may not be able to build and/or run a casino. Gamespy is reporting that Rockstar has yet to confirm or deny this feature regardless of what is being reported elsewhere. Casino's will be in there, but the player involvement with them is still any ones' guess. However, it tells about the empires here... http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=55550 Although, I don't know about this. Purchasing property in GTA: SA will be more fleshed out, allowing you not only to buy but also to build (probably scripted and not free form but cool nonetheless). BTW, what's the car in the bg? http://www.actiontrip.com/rei/scr.phtml?ca...autosanandreas3
