visionist
At first I was like WTF? Only 25 hours? Including around 8 hours of cutscenes? But then I realised this guy is almost certainly a pro and had no trouble just powering through all the main missions... Sucks to be him. He now knows all the plot twists, but he can't breathe a word to anyone....
gta-guru
He says he finished it in 25 hours. If it really is that short, I'm very disappointed. He's a games writer he probably went trough it and knows the game very good , the writers are speed gamers they get payed to play it fast, a casual gamer and even a normal gamer will need 50 hours or more if you go backtracking because these guys just do the missions , and I bet they just spawn them selfs next to the mission marker that's next R* gives them the cheats so don't worry most game journalists arent THAT good at games
soleil
Sucks to be him. He now knows all the plot twists, but he can't breathe a word to anyone.... But think about how much ass he's getting from gamer girls trying to find out!!!
Jimex
Compared to the recent games i've played which i've completed in the same day I bought them, 25 hours of main missions is just fine. Multiplayer adds finite hours anyway and if its as good as i hope, thats where i'll be playing most of the time anyway.
Hodgey.
Lucky git, but 25 hours is more than enough, if like me you aint gonna rush through the game.
BigaNoob
I don't know why you are dissapointed. 25 hours is a huge accomplishment for any game today. Even open world games. Name any other open world game that would take more than 25 hours to complete if you didn't get caught up in the environment, side missions, or collecting things. 25 hours powering through means about 100 missions, I'd assume, if each mission was an average of 15 minutes long. Some dude on a gamer-website said that there will be a couple of HUNDRED missions.. sooo
Slamman
No spoilers is a true let down but I think Fanboys will still be debating the hours it takes to play well past the game's release date. I figured it would stand head and shoulders above past GTAs, but I wouldn't count the competition absent either. There's some very fine next-Gen games out and more on the way. I plan to explore EVERY corner of GTA 4, but I'll try to get a handle on missions too. (The main story like they did)
DrAKeN3D
1st of all, who says that this article is legit ?! Slamman
He says he finished it in 25 hours. If it really is that short, I'm very disappointed. Indeed, but I'm sure it will still be fun. Ppl complained about Uncharted play thru at about 4 to 5 hours tops. I play it over and over, still has entertainment value but not so much so that everyone will feel like repeating the story. GTA allows you to do that and much more, besides the multiple audio streams they added, the new AI, it will all come together as one and be utterly fantastic! Dan VII
If you had to pick a favourite out of all the games in the series now which one would it be? GTA IV. By a country mile. It craps on all the others – even the mighty Vice City – from a height equivalent to the Statue of Happiness. Believe me, GTA IV is even better than the hype suggests! That has got me even more hyped, as if I wasn't already!
livnew
25 hours blitzing through? I don't know why people are moaning, that's long if you compare it to games like Uncharted, Army of Two, Call of Duty and Assassins Creed etc. - they can all be completed under 10 hours. He then said it could be around 40 hours plus which is awesome, good read, nice find mate.

DJ88
I swear some people have serious reading comprehension problems. They read: "I finished the story mode in 24 hours, without skipping cut scenes, but"... And they run back here crying, whaaaa 24 hours, thats soooo short, i'm dissapointed, whaaa. If only they'd just read on: "I literally blitzed through and hardly took on any side missions. If I was to play it again (which I will be, right on launch day!) I'd say to wrap up the story will take at least 40 hours at a normal pace, plus another – say, 25? – to wrap up the remainder of the missions. In truth though, you could be paving the streets of Liberty City in a year's time and still not have discovered everything" And now a normal, non reading comprehension problem sane person will say. Damn! 65 hours, plus multiplayer, plus all the time you spend just exploring liberty city and doing whatever the hell you want. This game will be huge!
