He says he finished it in 25 hours. If it really is that short, I'm very disappointed.

what did you expect ? when there is an achievement where you have to complete the game in 30 hours!

Do note he was competing with another collegue to finish, so Obviously it was quick.

Take into consideration as well, that when you get the game, you will want to play and find every single little detail so that this game is the best game you will play in 2008!

At least, that's what I want to do. biggrin.gif

SA can be done in under 8h, don't fret.

the 25 hours doesnt include side missions, just rushing through the main story so i think 25 hours is quite a good playing time

24 hours for story including cut scenes which is apparently 8 hours, so 16 hour story mode? meh, still longer then most games.

Well he had a goal when he started playing, to finish the game. When you play, when I play... we are going to take more time on us, we're going to explore the map alot more then what that guy did. We're going to use our time to just go around and kill people and run over ppl with cars etc. that will take alot more then 25 hours... plus that ALL he did those days was play the game from morning to night.

Wow 25 hours?! Thats so short. Hope the side missions are like 75 hours.

That lucky son of a bitch. Well i guess this proves it's gone gold. lol.gif

I don't think he's so lucky... It would ruin it for me if i had to play through it all as fast as i could just to review it. It kinda destroy the gta feeling you know. And i guess you miss alot.

if he was powering through it in a rush, like everyone says, I bet he skipped a bunch of cutscenes

I just read the article, he dinin't skip any cutscenes :\ still, I gotta 360, I'll be getting DLC *dances* so tounge.gif

He said at normal pace it would take 40 hours and 25 for the rest of the game. I took me about this time to complete SA so it seems OK to me icon14.gif

That is a good time for a rushed play through. As Houser said, he expects 100+ hours for doing a lot (I could play it for longer and also there's multiplayer).

Indeed, but I'm sure it will still be fun.

we were based in Rockstar's actual offices and I think I racked up 25 hours at the final count, while they were ensconced in their hotel rooms playing up to 11 hours a day!

as i said earlier it's way more fun for us.

I don't know why you are dissapointed. 25 hours is a huge accomplishment for any game today. Even open world games. Name any other open world game that would take more than 25 hours to complete if you didn't get caught up in the environment, side missions, or collecting things. 25 hours powering through means about 100 missions, I'd assume, if each mission was an average of 15 minutes long.

Agreed plus we don't play as them. We don't "nerd" the whole game just to get finished.

Read what he said, he reckons at a medium pace add another 25 hours on! He sounded like he just followed the missions and didn't really take them slowly. Also I doubt he got side tracked which a lot of us will.

25 hours is epic to me, though. With the trend of shorter single player games that has suddenly plagued the gaming universe, this is a godsend. I'm always looking for ways to extend games. I'm the guy who plays the really boring, poorly executed games (ex. driv3r) for days on end. I expect to be hooked on this thing for a long time.

at 2 hours a day it would take just under 2 weeks to finish, and thats doing nothing but the story and cutting cut scenes, pretty good going id say.

is there really a achievment for that? i never got a chance to see the achievments leek so i dont know, but thats a shame...i like getting achievments but this one im probably going to pass on...or atleast hold off till the second time i play Shifty41s_beerhatsmilie2.gif ...and plus... im not really happy for the guy anyways cuz i think the game is more fun when you have half the world playing with you that way everyone can talk about what we did...this guys a loner in the gta world until we all get the game tounge2.gif

When he SAYS 25 HOURS he means CONSTANTLY doing nothing but missions! never taking a break just missions missions mission! i could beat San Andreas in like 7 hours of just nothing but mission after mission.

He's a games writer he probably went trough it and knows the game very good , the writers are speed gamers they get payed to play it fast, a casual gamer and even a normal gamer will need 50 hours or more if you go backtracking because these guys just do the missions , and I bet they just spawn them selfs next to the mission marker that's next R* gives them the cheats tounge.gif so don't worry
