Something people don't realise about the Metal Gear Solid series is that it's never been as big of a seller as people may think, which is disappointing. Probably the best gaming series I've ever played and people don't buy it! Get onto it, c*nts! Although MGS4 will sell machines, IMO. It did for me. I hated those games, and the more I tried to find something good about them, the more I hated them. People just like them now because it's a household name. This doesn't belong in the GTA IV forum. Actually there is a GTA4 PS3 Bundle coming, to Europe at least, for 430€. And there is a MGS4 Bundle coming... oh man so many bundle times. I shouldn't of gotten the PS3 on release day . However, most everyone I know who bothers to buy a PS3 does so because MGS4 is a game they want. GTA4 is also on that list. Just because from what I've heard, GTA games don't appeal to the asian market as much as MGS games or as much as GTA games appeal to the western market. DDR Midian Posted April 4, 2008 Share Posted April 4, 2008 I think it has a chance, considering most people I know that own both consoles will be buying GTAIV on the 360 thanks to the downloadable episodes. Not intending to start an argument, but those episodes are gonna mean loads of multi-console owners are gonna take the MS side over Sony's, while the bulk of the GTAIV sales on PS3 will be people who only own the one console. MGS is like Halo or Mario, only for the PS3. It's overhyped before launch. After the launch, it's over-rated. It's just a standard game used to sell your machinery. Altough Halo 3 MULTIPLAYER is entertraining (Single Player sucks ass), I still prefer GTAIV over ANY GAME. Why? It's far more entertraining. And there are days that I think GTA4 and the crime story and freedom is better and it will sell more, and there are days when I think about MGS story and characters and unique gameplay. I Agree With You , Even Tho i Love GTA , The Main Reason I Got My Ps3 Was Because MGS,Then I Found Out GTA 4 Was Coming Out For Ps3 ALso So i Was Very Happy I dID !
