@Blitz : you're doing a good job but you have to keep in mind the fact LODs are there to help the game stream well the environment from long distance by keeping something low definition, but good enough to reproduce the full detail meshes.

But I can see here that you're doing the opposite with LODs textures. It's really not recomended to put up 512 pixel or more texture for LODs.

I suggest you to reduce them to atleast 256 pixels large at least to help the game stream and avoid useless memory abuse. Also it'll avoid those sharpen noise from far ranges to appear.

Same for the close range full resolution textures, PLEASE, now that we all have G-TXD, mipmap them (at level 9 at least) to give the mod the perfect look it need and avoid the grainy effect wink.gif

I hope you'll take care of that stuff. wink.gif

Keep up

Ok... then, I will try'it, but making the .lods at 256 the texture is just stretching ( in the game ), starting to look different, the detailes are starting to disappear, and is not fitting good on normals texture, I will try to make them again smaller, I'm jus trying to not go over at least 1200X ( at highwas ) at streets 512X, and building 1000X, and about stream, I'm very afraid about that to not pass that limit ph34r.gif

ParoXum, have you been able to use mipmaps without crashing the game? Please tell me how you did it!!! Because I was trying to create mipmaps for all the textures from SRT3 + SRT3 Continue (I created level 7 for all of them) but it resulted in longer game loads and a few freezes (it looked awesome though biggrin.gif ). I believe your Gostown mod which is very graphic intensive uses mipmapping with G-TXD so any help you can provide people with to make the textures work correctly would be invaluable. smile.gif

I also had a few errors with textures which have alphas but I believe I did something wrong instead of it being the program's fault, since I'm a bit clueless when it comes to texture editing.

@BLITZ: You should take ParoXum's advice with regards to LODs, it'd help also since the final size of the mod would be less. wink.gif

Does anybody's game crash when they use "San Andreas Texture Draw Fix / Stream Memory Fix 2.0" from http://alexander.sannybuilder.com/GTA_progs.html?

Is it because I use the 10x draw distance modification or what? cryani.gif

From Randy

btw BLITZ, theres a new version of StreamMemoryFix V 2.0 if you dont already have it

using it now thx!

**Scratch that ** just deleated it - crashed my game - went back to limit adjuster 8.0 grrrrrr

------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------->

only you can prevent ricochets

So is the same thing, and I didn't test'it confused.gif is not from my mod, comeon :-j

Hmm... or just tryit on normal SA, if you have on your hard's.... if the game don't crash, then is from me, or v2.0 is support a number of GB when comes with gta3.img ph34r.gif

What do you think is the recommended amount of memory to stream? I have 3GB of RAM and I would like to know. Shifty41s_beerhatsmilie2.gif

For SRT3 a 256MB streaming memory is enough for everything.

mine crashed when i used it with SRT3(+BLITZ's Mod) Have no idea why so i just got rid of it - using SALA 7.5 now & seems to be fine (streaming memory=190)

anyone else have crashes with Alexanders Stream Memory fix & SRT3?

So what do you want... ?! easyer install, how hard can it be to just import de files and rebuild'it ==)))) lol.gif , and what you saw much better, SRT3 texture aren't good enough, you want Crysis engine, or what, ohh yeahh, putting P.O. Mod in SA is amazing, but did you think that P.O. mod is accepting a good computer, thinking if the SA was having, something like Call Of Duty, Crysis, Airbone game stuff, what PC should I play with... I don't even think that even Vista should accept that imaginary SA game from you.

And P.O. has the same install thing. Open, Import, Rebuild, Close.

If you don't like, don't topic'it.

Don't start to insult somebody's work... specialy ParoXum, I don't like that sh*t... rampage_ani.gif I don't see a better mod when comes with texture

Randy about streamemory, I'm using SA-Limit 7.5 because 8 doesn't allowed ENB confused.gif and has the same errors, appearing with "sound problems" dozingoff.gif

roger that! thx 7.5 seems to be more stable

& to the guy who wants a easier install - pleeeeaaaaase! it took me about 1 second to press the rebuild button in Alci's img - it was sooooo hard ! devil.gif

& to BLITZ - i notced ParoXum's post about LOD sizes - has this been a problem for you

i.e. crashes or lod errors - i seem to run fine with SALA 7.5

May I know how did you get Hi-Res Plant Texture or Project Oblivion to work with SRT 1.5?

I can get them work with SRT 1.0, but when I install it with SRT 1.5 and load my game, half way it will crash.

Yes, I install SRT3 1.0 > SRT3 1.5, then Project Oblivion/Hi-Res Plant where my game will crash.

I tried installing in another order, Project Oblivion > SRT3 1.0 (Works fine) > SRT3 1.5 (Crash again)

Hi-Res plants is easy. Just install them as you normally would.

Project Oblivion is a different matter because I have many freezes when using the mod. Installation process is the same as what you'd do for Hi-Res plants but it's a heavier mod which adds a ton more trees and therefore more bound to make the game crash. I believe they provide a new EXE file to solve it but no-cd users are screwed then.

As beautiful as these mods are, though, I don't like them much because there are several clipping bugs i.e. trees sticking out of walls or appearing on the road when you're on an overpass, plants where they shouldn't be, etc.

You think I can run this WITH ENBseries?

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 (4 cores @ 2.4 Ghz)

3GB RAM

Nvidia 8600GT 256 MB (Performs better than 512 MB in everything due to the fact I have the DDR3 model)

400GB Hard Drive

Vista

It's a shame that mipmaps make the game freeze sometimes... It would look so much better.

Right now I'm forced to use fullscreen SSAA to circumvent shimmering issues in SA, but my 8800GT (already a formidable card) struggles if I turn ENB occlusion on. I'm seriously thinking about getting a dual-GPU setup (a 9800GX2 is within reach but the upcoming HD4870X2 is heaps faster) to be able to increase resolution as well and reinstall my LCD.

Oh, and don't suggest standard SLi because I don't want to have to cope with something that takes ages to get to work properly.

Yes, of course, this version is just basic on arhive with .txd, ParoXum is saying that v1.0 crack it gona fix the sound problem of the weapons, but it can be in'a nother way, just donwload from oDC or DC++ San Andreas, normal files,GENRL from the folder Audio/SFX and BankLkup from the folder Audio/CONFIG.

Donwloadezi de pe oDC fisierele de la un san andreas normal, GENRL ( care vine in Audio\SFX ) si "Banklup" ( care vine in Audio/CONFIG ) si ai totul la normal ( ca sunet ). wink.gif

Hmm... well, how to start... I'm approaching to finish, Vas Vegas 95%, I'm working now to put the last streets in San Fierro and other texture, Los Santos 75%, Desert and Country are done (100%), Los Santons Hills 45% ( I have to put the streets, some texture and done )

All I have said above are related to the .Lod textures and the .lod texture, all of them are having, ONLY the .Lods , I'm repeating : 220MB, and it will raise even more. sigh.gifsuicidal.gif. I think it will be release in this new week that gona come.

And I will play a day SA to see if the game is suporting with this large MB or not. It is a little serious thing.

Pictures -> Soon.
