To @drfakeacc :

Size of textures from SRT are: 1024*1024 (14%) | 512*512 (84%) | 256*256 (2%). What do you want more exactly, is laging at you?!

I can not make 512x512, because Original SA has only that resolution and posible a 10-20.bmp that has 1024x768. Making them smaller, the HQ of SRT gona reduse to 50% and it gona look like hell.

Of course is difference between 2048x2048 and 1024x1024, resolution gona be higher the HQ of the .bmp files gona look much better... but if you break the limit the game gona lag and crash and yes 2048x2048 is to much, but the Mod doesn't have that higher resolution.

I see that you have put the same question on SRT3 version by ParoXum, so if only there is lagging to you, then buy new computer, I don't see the problem with SRT3 that giving you lagg, I never had that problem even with my oldes't computer and is not my problem again that your playing SA much higher then 1024X768 with all the things at maximum. Every Single game in this world played much higer at then 1024X768/1152X864 gona have lagg on your computer. I can not help you much.  sarcasm.gif ( What PC do you have )

 

Some of the Lod texture are more higher then 1024x1024 between 1200X**** and 1300X****

I've got a C2D E8400, 2 Gigs RAM and a X1950 XTX GPU, I think thats enought ;P

 

Because SA was so damn slow with SRT3, and SRT3 had much overlarged textures, I thought SRT3 Final Continue would have the same problem.

 

If I install SRT3 on my SA (clen and unmodded) it is so slow that it needs over 20 minutes to start, I thought it would be because of bigger textures.

 

But might you be able to tell me, why my SA was so slow with your SRT3?

 

With several other big mods, it runs perfect, but with ST3 not.

Your PC is very good, it should handle SRT without breaking a sweat... My PC has Intel Core2Quad Q6600, Nvidia Geforce 8800GT, 2GB RAM and I get 60 fps on SA easily with tons of other mods. In fact the only thing to bring my PC to its knees when it comes to SA is ENBSeries with all effects on maximum and 1440*900 of resolution. biggrin.gif

 

My biggest gripe with SRT is that SA handles detailed textures rather poorly... They look all grainy from far away.

 

Hey BLITZ, could you look into something that always buggered me in the original SRT? The transitions in some textures don't look very nice... For example, in the desert, there are roads with sand in the outer side, but the side roads adjacent to them are still made of tarmac. It looks a bit weird. sigh.gif

What does the mod do? In the introduction at the first post you didn't put any information about the mod. Is it retexturing? Is it changing the graphics? Is it changing the main.scm?

Hmm.. Is a continue version of SRT mod, supose to understand'it all ready. But your right at something.. yes, I didn't tell exactly what the mod represents or what is does... there are people that don't know about the mod even now.

To @Zpectre: No they are normal, ParoXum have made them exactly like the normal textures, the normal texture are to faded so you have to "stick" your eyes on monitor to see them more exactly, if I change something they gona look a little wired. I have sad'it before, SA has many bugs when comes with texture, and that's the engine of the game ( I think ), I can not do much and is it normal... and sry that I didn't say'it before but I'm using Alci's Tool wink.gif.

Retexture desert roads are the same like the normal texture, if you look close, and if you gona compare, they are the same. smile.gif and man you can not make something perfect like in real life, even the in real life, the sidewalk is has his "bugs", holes and other things. lol.gif

 

My gta3.img has 2,41GB

@Zpectre: Yeah, I know its pretty good, with almost everything modded I get around 100 FPS, but with ENB Series only 40, but It looks really cool.

 

@-BLITZ- I used now Alcis IMG Editor and it works perfect, 1,6 GB gta3.img with SRT3 FC, a lot of cars and other stuff, only the loading times are average. tounge.gif

I have told you, that depends how much your using gta3.img and wich programs. Alci's Tool is the best for me... and I didn't have any problems with him smile.gif

After replacing the folder grass in C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas\models I don't get flickering anymore.

So if there's someone else getting flickering problem, just replace the grass folder as that grassmod is causing it. smile.gif

I love this mod "AND" the Vinewood sign ! (the wood back panels looks great)

 

one problem though after installing SRT3 v1.0 my img was 1.4 GB

after installing yours it's 1.9 GB ! (used Alcis IMG-took awhile but worked)

This IMG size gonna be a problem?

DexX's GFX 2a(btw - your Vinewood sign comes off a bit orange with DexX's Mod)

I plan on adding a Crap load of Cars & Weapons & Peds so i figure my img is gonna break 2 GB !

 

Could you let us know your Limit Adjuster settings or if theirs a IMG limit even when using the Limit Adjuster with yours & Paroxum's SRT3 Mod?

I also want add dewalk's Sakina Map - will that be a problem?

Ok, so...

 

My .img has 2,46GB and I don't have problems, sometime (one at 100000) times my game freze,

Vinewood sign is orange because of DexX's GFX 2a mod.

I'm using version Alpha 8 too, but I'm having StreamMemFix.asi made by Alexander.

Because Alpha 8 still crashing many times... so I'm using more StreamMemFix.

At SA Limit, I'm using only stream memory at 150, but I'm have a new comp. now is I think I gona use it at 170

 

I also want add dewalk's Sakina Map - will that be a problem?

What? No... is just texture's, it doesn't have something with maps and others stuff.

Edit: Wait a second, because your right, I'm remember that I have test Sakina and was a problem, seems that the mod is accepting only his texture, ( trees more exactly ) confused.gif, seems that you don't have to put his .txd files from Sakina mod because the game has already... Is been a long time from testing Sakina and I don't remember much... ph34r.gif

That is your choise, with SA Limit, "stream memory" enable at 150-170 or ENB and your game gona look ugly...

are you using "Project Oblivion 2007 hq"with SRT3?

because i had that same white lod problem to when using Project Oblivion

 

i don't think those mods like each other that much - could be wrong but when i tried both together...disaster!

Because the same Mods has the same file name .txd, .col, and .dff

 

Project Oblivion: tree1.txd

SRT3 Final: tree1.txd

Understand now... you have to modified with TxdWorkshop, puting .bmp files and others stuff..

Because the same Mods has the same file name .txd, .col, and .dff

 

Project Oblivion: tree1.txd

SRT3 Final: tree1.txd

Understand now... you have to modified with TxdWorkshop, puting .bmp files and others stuff..

 

 

Could you elaborate on that a bit? So I have to extract every texture from"Project Oblivion" and import it into the SRT3 files that i will have to extract from gta3.img?

 

Meaning, I cant just replace the files in Alci'sIMG & rebuild? Are there files you leave out when you install "Project Oblivion". Is it just a texture swap? Do you even use Project Oblivion? lol & finally, which Grass & Trees do you like more Project Oblivion, or SRT3 Trees & Grass? btw - thx for quick reply last night. I'm reassured! All You Guys(you know who you are) - your mods kill & bread new life into Los Santos !

if you want the one in picture , im afraid your gonna have to install SRT3 again and grab hud.txd from models folder -reinstall SA & then Install stock version of Radar Mod & then replace "hud.txd" that you saved earlier & it should look the same!

I´m using Paroxum's SRT + Oblivion Mod + SA Limits + EnbSeries + All custom cars ...and almost no problems ! (well...a crash sometimes).

 

First SRT (I like its roads), and Oblivion after (I like its grass).

 

SA Limits only for increase streaming memory (I guess It causes some crashes).

 

and Enb series.... inlove.gif ...ahhhh Enb series (I love this mod) !

I think what they (& I) wanna know is why we get white LOD's when using ProjectOblivion & SRT3+your mod. I got the LOD problem when using these mods together. What files do you exclude? What Textures do you swap to make Oblivion work with SRT3? sry to ask same question but i really wanna know how to these mods workin together ! I think if you explained exactly how you install these mods together - it would solve all our mod mixing problems - thx

 

I left out some textures fromInteriorsRetextured Blitz's were better IMO -great mod to

@Randy: Project Oblivion only overwrites grass, you can use it with SRT3 by installing SRT3 + SRT3 Continue and installing Oblivion afterwards.

Nowhere, but the problem you have isn't caused specifically by this mod. It happens when there's too many high detail things on-screen at once, be it cars, textures, plants... It will happen even with the original textures.

 

To fix this you can either use the Limit Adjuster by Sacky (go to the Editing Discussion forums, Tools section, and look for the link Aschratt provided in the last pages of the thread) or use the StreamMemoryFix ASI plugin by Alexander Blade (you can get it at alexander.sannybuilder.com). You will need either ASI Loader or Limit Adjuster version 7 1/2 for the latter, though.

 

In Limit Adjuster you activate the Stream Memory limit and put it to something more than 150MB.

 

I don't remember if Limit Adjuster 7 1/2 is still up for download, because Sacky released a newer version (version 8), but the new version is bugged since SALoader (which you use to load third-party DLL and ASI files) doesn't work. You can always ask people to send it to you, though. wink.gif I haven't posted any further instructions because I think they're pretty clear and straightforward.

 

While you're at it, when you download the Limit Adjuster be sure to delete the line containing "extra.iplex" in the saex.dat file to prevent issues with save games.

 

@All: There's something helpful about installing this mod which I'd like to share with you people. It seems that the G-IMG tool by REspawn can handle large IMG files better than Alci's IMG Tool. I've managed to run IMG files as large as 3GB which were compiled and rebuilt with it. So, if you're corrupting your gta3.img file whenever you're attempting to rebuild, give REspawn's tool a chance. smile.gif
