I have two wishes for this mod, to feel finished^^

First of, should be.. make new great sounds.. there are NONE great sounspacks out there (that i know of).. If you would remake the sounds, put some time into it then this could become the first good soundpack as well. wink.gif

And another thing..

Combine the first Srt with your one.. Therefore only one installation pack^^

I accidendly only installed this one, which made the game a little bit funky..

1. I don't make sounds... because I have to find them ( to search real good sounds, for weapons ) to make them ( take some time ) and the texture are still on first thing in my mind because this is not the final version smile.gif

2. I have said about the "Install Pack". I don't have program, I have to put Spark/Alci's and that very hard to make them ( script more exactly ). And To put all of them is good Idea.. but I'm not still finish my version... it gona come the next version, next month... so when I gona finish; finish my version.. I gona make a full pack.

 

You wishes are fare away from me... I can't not make them real (now) tounge.gif

Well.. anyway you gave me quick answer..

And its still in progress.. which is GREAT btw!

Ive looked thru 5 sound mods.. all have weird problems with reloading the gun.. also some have had problems when its raining. (Sounds like smashing the car all the time)..

So i guess its common problems^^

But anyway keep up the great work ... Thumb up for you!

I forgot. The sound is not the problem. The tool sound is it ( Alci's Audio Tool -> is the single that I know for the moment ). It has something, a'n bug, when you import and save, in that time the tool is doing something wrong. So this is the problem. If you take BMW sound mod or any SOUND Mod... if you listen with winamp and then listen with the tool, you gona se that is a differense. smile.gif

Oh .. I get it now.. Damn that was stupid of me.. I didnt think the tool was the problem, i was misguided to believe it was a problem with the game istelf. Thanks for the good explanation, hopefully someone will create a better tool for replacing sounds then.

But hey.. Seems to me that you are a little in to sound-making anyway wink.gif (Since you knew that i mean). ^^

BLITZ, I've tried to install the srt3 continue v1.0 to a clean version of gta3.img, it shows the same error in rebuilding ("failed new entrydata") at 97%, I can play even without rebuiding, but after so much files replaced it is very recomended. What can I do?

I'm also having problems rebuilding the file with Alci's tool after importing the new TXDs. This doesn't happen with other mods. I'm thinking file size (or a corrupted file) may have something to do with it since the mod consists of almost 1GB in additional textures to the old SRT3.

 

EDIT: I seem to have fixed it by importing only a few files at a time. Importing them all at once was corrupting my IMG file.

Seems that Alci's IMG Tool has some limits. If you import and rebuild to many times, will crash your gta3.img

How many files at time have you installed? I tried to import them in two time and it made the problem...

I imported them in alphabetical order, reloaded and rebuilt the file after every import.

Since I installed this my sound keeps disappearing. It comes back sometimes and then just goes again (mostly when I look around)

Is there any way to fix this?

That's an issue with the game I think. Not the mod itself. Install GTASA 1.1. I might fix it but also disable modding.

I have import one time 1.524.txd files & .col and .dff files, including weapons, peds, bodyparts and my SRT version only 3 times. If I gona import and rebuild much more it will crash my gta3.img. Seems that the limit is only 3 times.

Yeah... I think you have rebuild and import to many times, overstressing your gta3.img. I import only 3 times and that's all. I don't touch any more gta3.img. When I want something and I have to change I erase that gta3.img, than I get a new one and doing the same thing again, only 3 times. smile.gif

 

 

That's an issue with the game I think. Not the mod itself. Install GTASA 1.1. I might fix it but also disable modding.

I've got a lot of car mods, does this mean it's impossible to mod every car in the game without losing all sound? Isn't there some limit adjuster that fixes it?

In addition to that, how does GTA3.img relate to sound?

Yeah.

Gta3 has don't have any relations with the sound. Did you changed with the default sounds? But there is a nother thing that I think why your losing the sound.

Gta3.img makes the game to be much slower, that's why is saying at every tool "Rebuild Arhive" after importing more files.

Is like Defragmentation on computer when the time comes. So without rebuild arhive gta3.img is much worse. The file are mixed up and the game is slowing and is starting to lose his sound because the engine is trying to process more at GTA.IMG maintaing stable. I don't know, is just a conclusion that I have made

But rebuilding to many time is buging too and isn't a good idea again.

 

I rebuild 3 times because I think is enough. smile.gif

I've just been playing the game recently, and the problem has just vanished for no reason. It'll probably come back though.

No. Here is not about performens of the computer when comes with gta3.img. It just you/he/they/everyone who's using to many times gta3.img, will gona crash your game even if you put at lower settings. Is very different.

It's not crashing.

The sounds just disappear for a while and then they come back.

I did retexture VC, I would really like to retexture III but don't know any mod that have it finished on SA. The III itself looks pain in my ass to retexture if it needs 8BPP textures.. confused.gif

Not if you replace ALL the textures in the same TXD file into PNG images (It works, I tried it with other TXD's).

 

And the VC retexture... where can I find that one?

From Ghostown Paradis V5... there is including VC game and some retexture things, but they are only small number of texture that has been retexture smile.gif

I thought it was the REAL Vice City retextured, a total conversion for GTA:Vice City.

This mod is awesome, I like SRT3 but it had some missing textures and minor bugs.

Excuse me if I'm repetitive, but I've still the problem in rebuilding suicidal.gif , now I can play san andreas with this mod and it works fine, but I can't rebuild, it shows an error during rebuilding after installation of this mod and everytime I try to rebuild. I tried also to install 50 files at time, save and rebuild it. Sometimes all OK but there is always one time in which after installing 50 files it shows error in rebuilding.

I don't want to annoying you, I only ask you if it is possible to create an installer because with SRT3 final it was everything ok with it. Or please tell me how to make an installer if you don't want to make it.

I dunno if you see the difference between a 2048x2048 and a 1024x1024 texture on a 512x512 pixle field.

 

And I think without the Limit Adjuster (wich doesn't work for me with ENB Series, so I ain't using it) ist very laggy even on High-End machines.

 

So will there be a faster, not that laggy version of this great mod?

To @drfakeacc :

Size of textures from SRT are: 1024*1024 (14%) | 512*512 (84%) | 256*256 (2%). What do you want more exactly, is laging at you?!

I can not make 512x512, because Original SA has only that resolution and posible a 10-20.bmp that has 1024x768. Making them smaller, the HQ of SRT gona reduse to 50% and it gona look like hell.

Of course is difference between 2048x2048 and 1024x1024, resolution gona be higher the HQ of the .bmp files gona look much better... but if you break the limit the game gona lag and crash and yes 2048x2048 is to much, but the Mod doesn't have that higher resolution.

I see that you have put the same question on SRT3 version by ParoXum, so if only there is lagging to you, then buy new computer, I don't see the problem with SRT3 that giving you lagg, I never had that problem even with my oldes't computer and is not my problem again that your playing SA much higher then 1024X768 with all the things at maximum. Every Single game in this world played much higer at then 1024X768/1152X864 gona have lagg on your computer. I can not help you much. sarcasm.gif ( What PC do you have )

 

Some of the Lod texture are more higher then 1024x1024 between 1200X**** and 1300X****

 

To @usfvampire: Man I realy don't know how your working with SA tools, I never seen so much problem at you at anybody that I know working with SA, to you too, I'm sorry but much I can not do... ph34r.gif

 

Some Update: I still don't have time to make something to continue/making lods/repair bugs and other things... but will show this for the moment, the mod isn't dead... I have some files around that I have writen the bugs and other important observations, I didn't touch SA from 1-2 months aprox. so I have recover my self...

Bad, bad, BAD decision. When it comes to San Andreas, the Limit Adjuster has higher priority than ENB series. If you don't use it, adding high poly models in your game is guaranteed to cause texture loading problems.

 

Stop using ENB and use Limit Adjuster. When the SAloader.ini problem is fixed, start using ENB again. Just a fellow GTA player advice.

My old PC was having 512Ram, Radeon 9550, AMD+3000, and I was having no lag, my game wasen't slow, your PC is 2 times more good then my oldes, I don't know why your lagging... I never have any problem with this mod, so I don't have the answers when comes with Lag and slow-game.

 

Possible that... well, is very important to not overpressure your game and specialy the gta3.img and DATA files. Very time when I have to put something new in my game... I just delete gta3.img and then I'm import the files only 3 times... 1time, cars/bikes/planes/weapons, the 2 time, SRT3 Final ParoXum version, and then this SRT Continue Version... and that's all, and I don't have any problems, and I didn't have.

 

So.. do not import something now in gta3.img and then in 10 min. import something else and so on... because your puting in a very short time, many things... and gta3.img starting to get astray, and starting to slow your game, not your PC, your PC is good. And if you'r using many stupid tools, old tools, old versions, like SAMI tool and soo on, your realy gona crash the game, not only gta3.img/ everything.

What does the mod do? In the introduction at the first post you didn't put any information about the mod. Is it retexturing? Is it changing the graphics? Is it changing the main.scm?
