To @Derty : Yes man, thank you very much, apreciate for this. When is the time for mipmaps we gona talk about them. For the moment, I'm a beginner so I do step by step with something.

After I've installed srt3 final continue 1.0 during the rebuilding at 95% it shows an error and the game crashes. Every files must be placed to gta3.img? Maybe they are too much to insert together...

To @usfvampire:

First you have destroyed your gta3.img, you have to get a new one.

Second install SRT3 ParoXum version then my version, then put every mod that you like ( from cars, bikes, etc all together in one folder ) and then put them in gta3.img and rebuild arhive.

Don't install this mod when your gta3.img is modificated all ready cuz that will happend. This mod need a clean gta3.img

 

Some Update:

 

I have started to make Street.lod.

They are not hard at all, but is eating alot of my time.

I have to make some calculations width+height to make an street lod.

Of course I have started to make the cargoboxes from the ships and in Las Venturas.

The buildings are very dificult to retexture, I don't know how I gona make them, but I have same ideas.

And has to look something like this.

  • Adding lod. streets in Los Santos, San Fierro, Country Side, Desert
  • Lod. streets in Las Venturas ( 0% progress )
  • Adding texture to SFw-lods ( Grass, hills, sand )
  • Adding Interior texture at Stadium, LS, SF, LV
  • Adding cargoboxes on ships ( 50%, I don't know if it gona work )
  • Fixing Streets Lods. in Desert and Country Side
  • Retexture the Mini Island ( near the OTTO'S Shop )
  • Adding street texture to Las Venturas ( Mission when you visit Johnny Sindaco with Rosenberg, there the street was normal, didn't see it )
  • Adding street texture again in Las Venturas ( From the Millie House to the industry factory; Mission when you have to steel the Bank Van with the Helicopter wink.gif )
  • Adding some texture for the house's in LV North
  • Adding grass lod. in SF Hill
  • Fixing Interior Zero HQ ( No Mans-Land )
  • Adding more texture at underwater rocks... ( complete )
  • Fixing the Railway.lods from trains

Da, asa este, dar trebuie, pentru ca daca le las la 256-256 unele revin de unde am plecat. Macar nu depasesc 512x512. Si asa peste cativa ani, modul va fi perfect pentru ca imposibil ca PC'urile sa nu fie performante. Daca il fac acuma 256x256 o sa ma chinui foarte mult sa le readuc la 512x512 pentru ca stii doar, transformand ceva mic in ceva mai mare, calitatea se pierde si se vede in ceata.

Those the mod changing the street.lods? If yes, big texture for .lods will make to run the game and the people PC's much lower a little.

Well, is true, but making them 256x256 will return from where I have started. At least to not get over 512x512. Somehow this mod is for the future PC's. Impossible that 5 years from now on, people PC's will not be much better than this one's that are now. And you know that too, making from 256x256 texture to 512x512 wil be hard, cuz it the quality will disappear and will be blurry. wink.gif

I think they are looking much better than those pink-street-lods :lachen:

 

This things are still WIP, because my house is in contruction, redecorating and others stuff, and gona take some time for the house to be finished.

So my computer gona be "closed" and I gona make some performents too on my PC.

I still don't know what video card gona buy or any other component for the PC, so gona take some time here too. So I gona finished them maybe next month

Acestea sunt lods. adica cand te ridici de la sol sau cand esti in aer, stii ca cladirile incep sa se vada in ceata, eh... la strazi ( cele normale ) tu le vezi de sus in roz, eu le-am facut asa cum vei vedea in pozele de jos si schimba tot SA, acest mod.

 

Well this are lods. => means that when you gona be in the sky, you gona see the buildings in fogg and it gona have those normal texture ( with pink color texture at street ) soo. I have made them like those one's in SRT and this mod is changing everything from the game...

stiu ce sunt pentru ca am facut insule cladiri etc noi si stiu tot despre plansi ... doar la vc am modificat la sa nu pt ca nu am pc bun .... si daca pui poze la lod cu pozele normale, jocul se va misca mai greu pe un pc cu placa video veche. (vad ca esti nou pe aici, bine ca incepi cu ceva usor si apoi ceva greu) keep it up...

 

i know what they are because i've made islands buildings other sh*t ... only for vc ... bla bla to lazy to translate ....

Yes, my gta3.img is just modded, but I have installed succesfully srt3 final, why this is not possible for srt3 continue v1.0?

I'm sorry but I'm intrested only in SA game.

This mod have started by ParoXum and because he stop continue, I'm doing now his work, because I'm intrested only in SA game and find out that is a intresting and beautifull mod.

BLITZ, I've tried to install the srt3 continue v1.0 to a clean version of gta3.img, it shows the same error in rebuilding ("failed new entrydata") at 97%, I can play even without rebuiding, but after so much files replaced it is very recomended. What can I do?

Hey guys!

 

after ive installed SRT3 final, GTA is loading the landscape (especially the roads) very slowly. SRT3 Continue 1.0 didnt solve the problem.

 

i changed some options in the task manager too but the problem persists.

 

my PC:

 

Intel Core 2 Duo 6400, 2,13 FHz, 3 GB RAM, Graphiccard: NVuidia GeForce 7950 GT, 512 MB RAM

 

(if u dont understand anything, ask knochen^^)

[email protected] : Stop using IMG TOOL V2. cuz is a old-sh*t tool. Search of Alci's IMG Tool, because you can put all the texture in one time and rebuild it in the same time.

I used alcis, to install and to rebuild, I've never used img tool, sometimes for fast car installation I use spark. Please can you create an install like in srt3 final?

I'm sorry but I don't know how to use programs to make an installer like one from ParoXum. Maybe in time I will learn how.

Make a new folder... then in that folder, make a nother one and name it models, in the folder models, put gta3.img then install SRT3 Final -ParoXum-, when is done, click on "cut" and paste on the original SA that you have...

 

Is like having the game, but only the folder models and the gta3.img smile.gif, the pach is accepting... I'm doing that everytime.

Blitz, - your english is great all around, - but i'm not understanding the process you described to deathdime here. I' like srt3's sound effects, - but am experiencing some sound bugs and would like to use the stock sounds instead. It appears you've described how to accomplish this right? but i was wondering if you or anyone else could clarify the process a bit, - as i understand it -

 

1. make a new folder in the san andreas root directory, name it anything.

2. inside that folder make another folder named models.

3. put your original un-modified gta.img file in the models folder you just made.

4. install paroXum's SRT3 final.

5. take the original gta.img file from the models folder you made in step 2 and use it to overwrite the gta.img file created by SRT3 Final?

that blitz explained is how to keep all the textures defualt. but deathdime asked how to keep the sounds, am I right?

so, do this:

1. make a copy of the audio folder and put it somewhere else or just rename the folder and paste what you did just copy.

2. install the mod and check if the sounds are defualt, if not, you've probably forgot to make an extra copy of the audio folder.

 

in short: take the "audio" folder and copy it, then paste it somewhere else where you will remember it. then install the mod and the sounds should be defualt.

 

I might be wrong about this... but anyway, here's a way to keep the sounds wink.gif

@CHILLI : No man, he don't want the sound because they are ugly and ParoXum hasn't finish there too ( I think ) or he had put the sound in a hurry and come up buggy.

 

 

Before installing Srt3, you need to move from DATA/CONFIG folder BankLkup.file & DATA/SFX folder GENRL.file somewhere else. After Srt3 is installed, you can put them back where they belong, result on Default Sound again.

And another thing..

Combine the first Srt with your one.. Therefore only one installation pack^^

I accidendly only installed this one, which made the game a little bit funky..

Or just make in just make in folder in SFX to put GENRL.file and make a nother folder in CONFIG putting there BankLkup.file

 

There are just 2 files that the mod replacing "SFX" and "GENRL" smile.gif

Thanks for pointing those two files out Blitz, - The original SFX are now in place and all problems solved.

Ive looked thru 5 sound mods.. all have weird problems with reloading the gun.. also some have had problems when its raining. (Sounds like smashing the car all the time)..

So i guess its common problems^^

But anyway keep up the great work ... Thumb up for you!

I forgot. The sound is not the problem. The tool sound is it ( Alci's Audio Tool -> is the single that I know for the moment ). It has something kind of bugs, when you import and save, in that time the tool is doing something wrong.

So this is the problem. If you take BMW sound mod or any SOUND Mod if you listen with winamp and then listen with the tool, you gona see that there is a difference. wink.gif
