TV capture of GameStop Commercial

The GameStop commercial aired during Conan O'Brien last night. I captured the 1080i MPEG-2 stream. Unfortunately the ad was not broadcast in HD so I've converted it to 480p. The announcer gets cut off at the end but that's NBC's fault.

Again, it's not HD but it's a little better than the YouTube version.

EDIT: I put it on RapidShare: >>>>Link<<<<. Some have commented that the YouTube version is brighter. I captured the MPEG-2 stream straight from NBC and converted it with the QuickTime preset in Handbrake. If that made it too dark you can adjust the brightness and contrast to your heart's content with the A/V Controls in QuickTime Player and also play it full widescreen, and convert it for an iPod where it will look outstanding.

Fuzzknuckles

I just love the washed-out colours - it's very cinematic... kinda reminds me of the way Se7en looked.

Signatures are dumb anyway.

Hi! I'm so sorry for you, but the original Youtube version has (much) more quality... I've just compared your one with the original in HQ mode. Yes, you'll read that right: High Quality! Just add the &fmt=18 tag after the URL. You don't believe me? Just look for yourself and compare... Go to http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=w0fVl0MDCoo&fmt=18 to see it.

I don't think so. Quality perception can be subjective, but the TV capture has more detail and less compression than the "higher quality" YouTube version.

YouTube "higher quality":

Remember to download the QuickTime link on the vimeo page for the real deal.

Comparing the pictures, you're right in some form I think. But the Youtube one is brighter. I liked that....

But you did say something about a quicktime link, but I can't find the link? Do you have to register to see it?

His is better.

1. Better quality.

2. You can watch it full-screen on a widescreen monitor, which you can't on Youtube.

Yep, the OP's one is better quality, thanks! Just watching that tiny bit of drunken gameplay in HQ has made me a little queasy. I can't imagine what a full minute would be like!
