dragonballz9
I just saw this on ign gameplay of gta iv At the moment these are all the new updates i know in grand theft auto IV. In San Andreas you were able to play pool, i assume now in IV you are able to gamble, dance, shoot hoops, hit the arcade and also sky dive. Pedestrian holding an umbrella in the rain. A small touch that adds a ton of realism. Will people wear hats when it's sunny? Their will possibly be a new weapon 'hacksaw' that will replace the chainsaw off Vice City and San Andreas? GTA IV is more Sopranos than Scarface, so the switch would be appropriate. Nikolai falling out of the sky and onto a car roof. First, he's really falling; his back is to the ground, not his feet like in every other GTA. Second, he seems to drop and lose his weapon while plummeting. Third, he doesn't land on his feet, unhurt, but smashes and dents the vehicle. Finally, the car's headlights shatter individually from the impact. Wow. The firefighter missions are back. This scene also shows off the game's rain. It lashes more than falls, leaves behind huge puddles and splashes when each drop hits the ground. Check out the blood on Nikolai's outfit. Our hero's appearance changes dynamically with the damage he takes. Another possible example of the improved vehicle damage physics. A police car skids sideways into a semi truck and receives a massive dent in the exact location of impact. Also, can cars skid on their sides now, instead of automatically flipping onto their roofs and exploding? Anyways i wont spoil any more. Ign If not new lock it. New info from gamepro. Each step by your character causes a slight vibration in the controller. No more HUD, meaning no more health or armor indicators. All damage will be gauged solely on the appearance of your character, and armor will come in the form of bulletproof vests that can also be visually damaged before becoming unusable. Simple exterior damage will no longer make a vehicle explode. To blow up a vehicle, one must use an actual explosive device. Your character will not tire from running. Apparently, Niko can run forever, but he will experience a gradual decrease in speed depending on how long he runs. Time is now a more important factor in the game. Not accomplishing goals by a specific time may limit certain missions. The game is now bloodier and more realistic, as bullet wounds will now be visible and damage to certain areas of the body will affect their movement and actions. And apparently, running over a pedestrian will be much more disturbing than in previous games. Girlfriends, eating, and fitness have been eliminated, but certain skills will improve over time, which introduces more RPG elements to the game. 100% completion will offer gamers a lot more extras. The total land mass of the game will be bigger than the three major cities of San Andreas combined. The graphics will feature a much better draw distance than Saints Row Edited April 4, 2008 by dragonballz9

Rockstar*Ren
Nikolai falling out of the sky and onto a car roof. Girlfriends, eating, and fitness have been eliminated, but certain skills will improve over time, which introduces more RPG elements to the game. 1) That isn't Niko, it was one of the people he sniped while on one of the missions in a construction site. 2) There is a hud, the health and armour surround the map whilst the other displays will only be shown when in use e.g. the stars won't be there until you have a cop on you. 3) Girlfriends and eating have been confirmed to be in the game, as for the fitness side, we will still have stats but this time they will increase as the game goes on from doing missions instead of having to go to the gym. ...and I doubt the 100% fact is true as it would make it a bit unfair if there was someone who couldn't do it as they wouldn't benefit from the entire gaming experience, although I could be wrong.
