maxwellmania
hey guys, kinda new here. Im just got a sony bravia 52 inch lcd tv. I also have a ps3 but im thinking of getting a 360. my question is, will the game look alright on the ps3 and 360? i heard somewhere that some tvs downgrade 720 to 480. Is this true? Also. In termen of GRAPHICS (not downloadable content and what not) what system will the game look best on? Thanks a lot
Zinspawn
IN B4 FANBOYS Apparently PS3 is supposed to look more 'real' and crisp While Xbox 360 is brighter and more colorful. Someone will be by shortly with either a proper answer or "OMFG PS3/360 LOLZOLNOOB"
maxwellmania
so what is more important to you all: Cleaner crisper picture - ps3 or brighter - 360?

Slamman
Seems kinda redundant you brought this up because there was another topic already discussin issues with Sony's conversion! I even added this link to the post... http://www.engadgethd.com/2006/05/08/ps3-games-not-1080p/ I know they mentioned specific Sony TV problems with the PS3. I plan some YT video of my analog gameplay, keep tuned for that, maybe??
mesh1
well the games elad platform is the 360 and dont belive these fanboys the ps3 is said to have dull colours with slighty better anti aliasing while the 360 version which is the version the developers has chosen to show to the public and the media is meant to look more vibrant and colour full. TORANA74
Ask yourself what console you will use most? Don't buy a console for one game, XBOX 360 & PS3 both do more than play games, yes the HD-DVD is dead, that might make you stick to the PS3, but what it really comes down to is what your happy with! Both consoles have HDMI inputs (360 Elite has this I think) and can produce a resolution of 1080p/i as can the PS3, so don't worry to much about down scaling. The choice is yours! I went with the PS3 because of Blu-Ray, But I do know both games will be the same out of the Box.
Niko B3llic
Exactly theyre the same exact game. Im actually gonna be laughing once the game is out because then youll be able to look at a screenshot of the same exact thing, but one from each console. and guess what....you wont be able to tell a damn difference. i really dont think that ANYONE can look at a tv and actually sit there and say" hmm, well the color pallete is slightly greater on this one, but a tenth of a fraction crisper on this one" NO ONE WILL BE ABLE TO TELL! Enough of these post about comparing systems....its all guesses based on media that guesses itself! Discuss this after the game is out please! As Zinspawn stated, supposedly, according to (IIRC) an IGN preview, the PS3 version has superior anti-aliasing while the X360 version touts crisper color. Even if you wanted better color, the difference will probably not be so great it'd be worth buying a new console for it, although you might get an Xbox 360 simply because they're both great consoles with their own pros and cons. Exactly theyre the same exact game. Have you looked at Xbox360 vs PS3 screenshot comparisons? It might sound crazy to you, but the picture-quality obsessed people painstakingly compare cross-platform games on the consoles and there are always differences, even if they're very minor; it's a simple matter of the consoles being architecturally different. Its like when i try to compare blu-ray and hd-dvd....i honestly dont see a difference. and i know there is, but jeez the graphics and everything have impressed me far enough. i dont really want to slam a certain console for a pretty much invisible difference. blutly and plainly there is no mega difference between either console...if everyones so curious go buy both consoles and play gta iv on both at the same time since it buggs everyone for some reason... josh995
If using HDMI cables for both consoles, then yes, they will both look AMAZING. That is a plain and simple answer, that is also correct. However, if you're going to use regular cables, you obviously won't get as good of a picture. So, basically, use HDMI cables, and you will be perfectly fine. Also, we don't really know what system it will look best on, because the game isn't out yet. But even so, they will look nearly the same, and if not, it's seriously just a simple matter of changing your TV's settings, if color is the problem. So, buy it for the console that you like best. You already have a PS3, why buy a 360 for a game? Will you use the 360 often? If so, go ahead. But, if you think you'll play your PS3 more, stick with that. And remember that all HDMI cables are created equal! It's a lossless affair, so the picture either makes it, or it doesn't. You can spend 4 bucks on an HDMI cable and it will work just as well as one that cots 40 bucks.
