nirvana89
Slamman is 41. And on PSN, damn the luck! I was playing this evening and all of a sudden the text pops up saying I was now signed out of the Network! Nice to know I was even IN! Mine does that too. Mostly when its raining. Kind of like the signal issue with the old RCA Sat. dishes! Rain-fade!?! I've only had snow so not sure about rain I had a big blizzard going on a couple weeks ago and everything was a-ok but a little drizzle comes and ..pow.. you have been signed out of PSN. Slamman
HA! That's lame... I was on Wifi However, I know I've been addicted to arcade and the Apple gaming since the late 1970s, the dawn of the era! I am likely rather hard core when it comes to gaming old tech! haha I've yet to do the online gaming, but I never say never. Love the free PSN and that's just stating my personal opin. Spawngasm
Here's a question I'd like to know from you OLDER members without wives! Do you have girlfriends? or are you all just bachelors that can't get dates because of your video game addiction. My girlfriend gives me enough hell as it is because I play GTA. frenzypsycho
I'm 35, married, two kids (5 and 2 yo). My oldest daughter loves watching me play GTA games. I don't do extreme violent stuff while I play with her watching of course. She loves when I jump out of a plane into the water and stuff. She also loved that big chicken in San Andreas PS3 online : frenzypsycho
speedracertjl
I am engaged and my fiance actually either plays or watches me play xbox quite a bit. Shes a keeper. One ex-girlfriend I had hated video games...she didn't last long. All woman should play video games!!

Slamman
I don't wish to answer that I got a few occasions of women talking to me who were already attached or those that expressed some interest but only on one occasion, they never tried to 'hit me up'. Anyway, I don't have an issue with being single, It's less of the ball and chain because my buddy's married with two kids and he NEVER goes out without the kids along, etc. They're rather a pain. It ain't no picnic raising kids and everyone in my family has 'em. You can tell with the point of this thread, kids are a REAL handful (PITA)

Women love guys that can play an instrument such as a guitar ect... play something that'll get them tearing up and you pretty much have won them over. They'll forgot about your game addiction then. LongDarkBlues
I've got a great girlfriend - she's terrible at GTA, but she's really supportive of me playing it - she is endlessly entertained by the San Andreas co-op. She's a bit of a gamer, though, in the top 780's in the world on Pac-Man CE (which is pretty much top 100 in the US, half the top 500 is Asian) and kills me at N+ and the like. I had a ex-gf who was awesome at GTA - her first time playing through GTA3 she did the most elegant completion of the level where you have to take out Salvatore's men by power-sliding her Sentinel into the driveway of his mansion and taking everyone out with one flaming car - it was awesome! The current gf is not nearly as good at GTA, but is a much better gf in general.
MoiderousJoe
26 at the moment, I believe the average age for a "gamer" is 30. good topic. The average age for a gamer is like 15-16, wtf. No, he's right. The average age of gamers as a whole is mid 20's to mid 30's. I just suppose teenagers are online more since they have more free time. I'm much better at singing, however, but I don't like an audience when I do! haha I've got so many oddball quirks, I need a one of a kind woman but I am hoping VERY long term, as you may guess, when you wait so long! My friend's wife is a gamer, he's a techy, we both love Heavy Metal, but she's more Rick Springfield and REO Speedwagon. They're quite a unique couple I dare say, I envy his relationship because they both get along even after shouting match fighting and yelling, with rambunctious kids, It's a bit like circus, not unlike The Osbournes!! In fact he named his son Ozzy and his daughter is Miranda, or Rand for short! He's totally an Xbox 360 player.

scarface910
20 Year old...But no online But as you guys are putting it, with all the whiny 12-year-olds, I'm not missing much right? Your missing alot. Its pretty rare to come across high-pitched children, as most of their mics aren't even on.
werenotfugazi
I'm 29, and divorced. Like they say, "Life comes at you fast!" It's true. Anyway...I think the online features of an "M" rated game ought only be accessable to those who are of age. Perhaps it would make sense to requre a credit card for age verification, or something. I certainly do not look forward to playing a mature rated game with 10 year olds. Edited April 4, 2008 by werenotfugazi

I think so too. I mean, seriously...What good is the ESRB if CHILDREN are playing GTA IV online? I think Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo have a responsibility to limit accessability to minors just like the liquor stores do. You wouldn't serve alcohol to a minor, and you ought not be giving them access to this game online, you f*ckers!

Ahh its not the ESRB or the developers its the retail, parents and caretakers problem and they are the ones that complain the most. Thats the funny bit. The parents buy GTA, clearly labeled as an 'Adult' game, for their kid, and when little Johnny does something wrong, instead of taking a step back, and saying "Wait, we were the one's who bought the game. Lets just take it away from him", they blame R*.
Niko B3llic
yeah i never say stupid ass words like noob or owned or any of that. the little kids are extremely annoying but ya know what....i just kill them rediculously on the game and they never have anything to say to me. YukiEiri
I'm 31 years and I've been playing for more than 20 years now. xD My father is 56 and plays more than I do now since he is retired and has all the time in the world. I have to balance my time with work, friends, gym, stuff, gaming and more stuff so game are not high on my list anymore. :-/ But I still enjoy a bit GT & GTA with good friends from time to time. SWEETSAPRIK
I am 30 and married and was curious if there any other late 20 or 30 somethings in the same situation i am in. Limited time and don't want to waste their online time with 10 year olds. Post your xbox gamertag here if you want a good experience while gaming.Mine JMAN1977 30, not married, and don't mind playing with young people. The funny thing is that in my experience with online gaming, age hasn't seemed to equate to maturity as often as you'd expect. I've played online with people under 18 that were better at the game, and acted more grown up than people 10 years their senior. As long as the people I'm playing with aren't useless at the game, or acting like asses, I really don't care how old they are. Though playing with people that use ridiculous "leetspeak" in spoken form can get a bit annoying, but again, that's not really an age thing as much as it is an idiot thing. PяopagaиdaIиc. Fuzzknuckles
31 in May. Already been married and separated - women don't like it when you play GTA for 14 straight hours. Or when you leave them for someone 8 years younger than them. MAD SKILLS. Signatures are dumb anyway.

Perhaps it would make sense to requre a credit card for age verification, or something...... Couldn't agree more, simple idea so why isn't it happening. I'm 26, engaged, 1 son I'm obviously not going to play this game in front of my son he's only 3 so that's no GTA until his bed time, then our lass want's to watch Eastenders etc, I could go and play on the telly in the other room but it's only 32" and not HD and the one in my lounge is like 42" HD Samsung. Bollocks....well at least the game is going to last me ages, playing 1 hour a week. XBL= Milkflavour Hollah. Oh and I also have not found any issues when playing battlefield 2. Best online multiplayer to date in my opinion. Edited April 4, 2008 by mightyox
