Snake Without a Tongue
Say what you will about the US (not America unless you include the upper and lower bits) but at least we get to kill our hookers after regenerating our health. So pffffft! LOL J/K

TheDude5000
Australians are backwards. no, the government is conservative, which is a good thing, it protects us from corruption in the system like america, it protects us from an unbelievably money hungry health system like america, it protects us from monopolies like FOX (rupert murdoch changed citizenship to American from Australia as a result of Australia trying to stop him having a media monopoly, see what he's doing with your countries media now), and it protects us from things like the mortgage crisis in america to name a few. Too bad it also protects you from getting the full, real version of the game like we'll have in America.

reaper x550
If they f*cking cut out anything half decent i'll go on a massive rampage, this "no R 18+ rating for games" is f*cking bullsh*t, we can have violent movies with people getting f*cked up but we can't have anything like that in a game. Algonquin Assassin
Atleast it hasn't been banned. Remember GTA III? We didn't get it until early 2002, because they had to tone it down. It could be worse, the Aussie version could have been held off for another 2 months to remove the "naughty bits". I remember paying almost $200, yes $200 for the UK version of Vice City 2 weeks before it came out over here, and all that was different was the ability to pick up hookers, and a bit more gore. That's it. Edited April 4, 2008 by Miamivicecity
steakncheese
WTF?! I've already pre-ordered it here after they said we would get the original version. This had better not be about hookers, because in the completely legal release of San Andreas (before hot coffee), you could pick up hookers and kill them afterward. Transparanoia
The OFLC website is not as reliable as you may think. Scarface: The World is Yours was heavily edited for it's Australian release but on the OFLC Website it states "Version ORIGINAL".

There must be something worse than picking up a hooker to get it censored. Either way I don't really care, because atleast GTA IV's fate wont end up like Manhunt 2. I'm just hoping it wont affect the story or whatever. I seriously doubt it though. Meh if the difference is significant, I can always buy it from the UK. TechnoHead
This better be fake. I hate importing. Though I'm only going to import if it's something important in the game. (Story, Missions, Gameplay, etc) If it's the ability to pick up hookers, I really don't give a damn.
