I can't be bothered to state the reasons of how stupid it is to 'own' a car on a game where the name is about stealing them. Damn you're stupid. You can own a car and still steal cars. galamaheit 10 000 Posted April 4, 2008 Share Posted April 4, 2008 well, i dont see a point in actually going out and buying a car to "own". but basically, due to the sandbox nature of the game, half the experience you have in GTA is due to your imagination. at least that's how i experience it. you can do whatever in this game. like ideas, there is really no such thing as a stupid concept. i mean, this is within the boundries of reason of game design, but even then you know... pretend to own a car! steal it, and keep it going! Rockstars given you the tools, there will probably be garages and all that. if you want to do it you can, its all about freewill and choice! its the most wonderful game around! You owned car dealerships (and their cars) in past GTAs, and you owned cars you paid to import. I feel that vehicles that spawn as completion rewards are rightfully owned too, even though cops would try to bust you as if you were stealing them. That cracks me up! The only thing that bothered me was that if you modded a car and used it to go on a mission, it wouldn't be where you left it. I don't think every car you steal should stay in the game forever. Obviously, that's dumb. But, If I lose a modded car I have steal another and mod it again. That was a pain. Now, we can't mod cars. I think what we mean is just a system where u can keep track of a car, no matter how u aquired it, with some kinda gps/blip system, so that If you find a really unique car, and dont want to have to go around looking for another one forever, you have that one in your possession, until it blows up of course. I read somewhere that it's confirrmed there is designated parking spots, which do in fact keep your car in that location. No word if they can get stolen though.
