Recovery mode is only available using Custom Firmware, S*NY(official) Firmware does not have this feature. Read this: http://www.dark-alex.org/ And this: http://www.psp-hacks.com/ Unfortunately, the only way to put Custom Firmware on an official S*NY 3.80 Firmware PSP is the intentionally brick it and then use the Pandora Battery and Memory stick to return it to service mode.
