nirvana89 Posted April 3, 2008 Share Posted April 3, 2008 I remember for SA it was said that all the pedestrians would live their own life and to a certain extent they did but due to the constraints of the PS2 hardware I don't think it was utilized to its full potential. I'm talking about people riding to work in the morning and coming back. There is so much potential here and now that its on a much more powerful system I hope this is taken to the next level. The pedestrians in the game, after all help flesh this game out. They shouldnt just wander the streets aimlessly like GTA 3 and VC. Doing this will only make this game that much better. I did see the Gamestop commercial and you can see that peds ride the bus now so I'm hoping that this is a sign of better reacting peds. Ones that don't rely on the main character for interaction. All I'm asking for is something different from what the peds did in SA. I would expect better ped interactions after all. The PS3 and 360 should be able to handle it. But they said that about Sans Andreas and that was something I looked for and all most all peds would just walk around in a circle, some would go in their house and then some back out in the moring. I was wondering just now if th hallways are going to be with or with out people in them I'm sure some would which would be neat.... DO you that live in Nyc and other places like that.. I would hate having to see some one in the moring getting the mail or at night walkin home... I love the country, some people I know live in bigger house that are now tiny aprartments and it smells so bad would hate... RONIN1191 Posted April 3, 2008 Share Posted April 3, 2008 I think we can expect them to do 'regular stuff' like it was mentioned; smoke a cig, get a paper, chew gum, make small talk. I don't think it'll be like in Oblivion where each NPC had their own routine- that'd be nice, but I think there's just too many peds to take into account. I also remember reading that somewhere. It said that pedestrians have memory, and if you pulled out a gun and tried to rob them or something, they would remember it and run away screaming.
