sattizahn Posted April 3, 2008 Share Posted April 3, 2008 They might be in for helicopter survival, but I was also thinking that if your chopper was going down, Niko could grab a rope and slide down to safety before the helicopter blows or turns in. ...but parachutes are better thats an idea but have you seen black hawk down if so you know why it would kinda be a weird idea I actually though of that same thing.... ...but c'mon, since when are video games realistic However, there's going to have to be some reasonable and realistic solution to helicopter abandonment/survival.... RONIN1191 Posted April 3, 2008 Share Posted April 3, 2008 I think parachutes should be in and I don't recall reading (except on here) that they aren't so...having said that, I can't picture bailing out of a chopper...I keep seeing me bailing out and when the chopper falls, it shreds the chute (and me if I'm too close)...it'd be interesting to see how that'll work out. JimBob07 Posted April 3, 2008 Share Posted April 3, 2008 I've also read magazine articles on GTA IV that have said that there is no HUD, that Niko can swim underwater, and that during gameplay you can piss in alleyways..... My point isn't that parachutes are in OR out of the game, but simply that we won't really know until the 29th what is in and what is not. Any stipulation until then is simply that, stipulation.... lol I read a mtv hands-on preview that claims helicopter blades don't hurt anyone, man some of these previewers do talk some crap sometimes. Heres the quote from the preview. Mostly we used the helicopter to land on skyscrapers and in busy intersections, the rotor blades magically hurting no one — not the least of whom Niko, despite what would probably be classified as hard landings.
