Deji
I can't believe nobody has posted about my favourite animated comedy! I've got all the episodes on the seasons 1-5. Which one was your favourite? Mine was 'Tales Of Interest II' "Go lower, reverse direction, increase speed!"

SyphonPayne
I love Futurama! My fav is probably the one where Fry dates Lucy Liu (the robot.) BTW South Park is just a bunch of sh*t jokes about anal probes and sex with young boys.
Otter
Two years old, but was a topic already: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtop...=20&hl=Futurama Anyhow, what's the lesser of two evils? Starting a new thread that's been started a few times now, or bumping an old one? On topic - definitely one of the best. I think Space Ghost did more to claim itself kinf og Comedy though. f*cking revolutionary.
jonny_zoo
I am also a futurama fan and also have every eposode from season 1-5, my favorite eposode would have to be, "tales of intrest 1."
Freakorama
Which one was your favourite? Mine was 'Tales Of Interest II' "Go lower, reverse direction, increase speed!" Thats Anthology of Interest. Joke wise, I think South Park is funnier but the jokes on Futurama there are alot of them people won't get. Maby because all they watch is southpark. No cartoon beats Futurama story wise though. Edited April 4, 2008 by Futurama_Freak1
Mav.
Futurama, Family Guy, American Dad, Southpark, The Simpsons (old episodes). All on the same level imo. Each have their +'ives and -'ives.
Moonshield
Joke wise, I think South Park is funnier but the jokes on Futurama there are alot of them people won't get. Maby because all they watch is southpark. That's because the average moron can get the dumbed-down painfully obvious humor that makes up south park. Like Otter said, the Williams Street guys that came up with the Space Ghost and subsequent shows have cartoon comedy on lock, but Futurama is by far my favorite cartoon of all time. My favorite episode might be whichever Anthology of Interest features Bender turning into a human (I think it was II), or the one where he joins the Robot Mafia, or the one where they all get tax rebates. Svip
Anthology of Interest II, Bender Gets Made and Three Hundred Big Boys, Moonshield. Point in fact, as Otter pointed out, there have been a lot of topics about Futurama already. However, any true Futurama fan will not accept there being five seasons, but only four. You see, FOX broadcast the episodes in a horrible order for TV which turned into five seasons. But the show was produced on four seasons. And true fans watch the episodes in production order. How horrible is the order? Well for one, Cubert appears in an episode before he is introduced in another, when watching it in broadcast order. Of course, it may be interesting for you that Futurama is being relived with four films. As you may know Bender's Big Score is already out and The Beast with a Billion Backs will be out this June. Now you may consider me as some kind of a fanatic of the show, as I can easily guess an episode by a single quote (and they don't have to be popular ones) and also can tell most episodes by the title caption alone. But I guess that comes with the job when you regularly edit a Futurama wiki.
Deji
ok. now a request. stop arguing over which cartoons are best. although i do agree with that point about south park! i got confused Tales of interest-anthology of... coz in the episode the commentry says 'tales' and there needed to be a new topic anyway. plus i wasn't here 2 years ago (well, i was but i was inactive) Edited April 4, 2008 by Deji

I know all the quotes of all 1st season the episodes too.. i've watched em millions of times! i even know most of the characters bio. :-D Edited April 4, 2008 by Deji

Actually I think they do. If you ever bought the DVD boxset (like I have), you would know that DVDs were released on four seasons (note the use of season rather than series since it is an American show). But apparently you haven't even bothered to find out such a trivial fact, neither do you even own the DVDs. And you call yourself a true fan? I find it a disgrace. Additionally, do not double post. Just edit your previous post to contain the extra content.

Now I think just isn't fair. Pfft. Those are easy. Where No Fan Has Gone Before. Your second quote is wrong. I can only think of "that he is some sort of wonderful mechanical man" in The 30% Iron Cook. And it is said by an over voice and not referred to Bender directly. Love and Rocket, it comes after Farnsworth's "now we want to prove to these people that we are not bitter husk of human beings who've long ago abandoned all hope of finding love in this lifetime. Leela, you'll have to do some acting." "Check." Secreted by the Comedy Bee is Amazon Women in the Mood. Or Is It? is A Taste of Freedom. When you see the robot, drink! is Love and Rocket. But those are simple. It's easy to remember "Secreted by the Comedy Bee" because it is from an episode first in a season (season 3 in this case), just like "Bigfoot's Choice" is Kif Gets Knocked Up a Notch. A real tricky one could be "free us from thought and responsibility." However, I'll have to note, that due to the construction of the Internet, I cannot prove to you that I did or did not search for the quotes on Google (which I didn't, but I can't prove that). Instead, I hope you take my word for it. That said, I used it twice for confirmation, and I was proved right each time.

Isn't the "free us from thought and responsibility" from the one where Bender makes himself pharaoh? I seem to remember "we're dumb" right afterward, which is the whole basis of my guess. At least you edit a Wiki, I just watch Futurama over and over and over again. QUOTE (K^2) ...not only is it legal for you to go around with a concealed penis, it requires absolutely no registration! At least you edit a Wiki, I just watch Futurama over and over and over again. Hey, I edit a Wiki and watch Futurama over and over again. Hell, I even have a program that launches a random episode. I gotta have one episode per day. Also, converting transcripts and similar (that is like... reading them) helps getting your mind into what happens. I especially use them to listen to very small lines. Such as Hermes' "fire 'em all" in Bender Should Not Be Allowed on Television. You probably have no idea where he says that. It is one of those lines that is just to indicate that people are actually talking. Background line if you will. But of course, there are some favourite quotes of mine. Farnsworth's line "tell them I hate them" always gets me. And of course many more, including of course "I am the man with no name; Zapp Brannigan." You see, this is one of the things I love about Futurama. A lot of other shows have great episodes and a lot of writers, but not all of the episodes are great (I know there are some minor bad ones in Futurama), but in Futurama however, every episode has a "gold nugget," a line that is just worth quoting a lot of times. And several episodes have more than one. I remember talking with my friends about the amount of writers on the show Friends, which were of course a lot higher than Futurama's writing staff. And yet, there is really no line I can remember from Friends that seems worth quoting. I admit though, I don't watch Friends as much as I watch Futurama. Saggy
I think my favorite quotes have to come from Fry. I can't think of a lot, but from an episode I watched last night... "Huh, a cream that gives you super powers. You'd figure it'd be something you have to free base". "I feel like I was mauled by Jesus" One of the things I really love about Futurama is all of the background comedy that they also put in. A lot of the times if you're paying attention to the dialog of one episode, you can watch it again, and notice some kind of sign that's commenting on the whole scene, or some other thing in the background. It's not my fault English lacks something to make a difference between you and you. So technically it applies. Besides, you should read a topic first before mindlessly replying to it.
